  1. After more testing, it started whining even louder and overhearing, so I ended up just getting a shipping label to send it for refund and getting a Deepcool AK620. Still had all the original packaging, so it should go through hopefully. I was only cooling a 3700x, so definitely defective.
  2. I recently bought an EKWB 280mm AIO, my first ever watercooling equipment, but after installing I was unable to fix the loud pump noise. No matter what orientation, speed, or length of time left to settle I try, there is still a considerable noise that I'm pretty sure is air stuck in the pump. Is there anything else I should try, besides different orientations of the pump and rad, or should I just return it? I've even removed the entire AIO and tried to move all of the air to the rad while outside the case, but no luck. The full product name is "EK 280mm AIO D-RGB All-in-One Liquid CPU Cooler" on Newegg
  3. Yeah, my bad. I remembered that for the exact same reason right after I pushed submit.
  4. If the refresh rate and resolution aren’t a problem then I can’t think of any other major difference. Depending on which version of DisplayPort or HDMI you have, they may be, but it’s most likely fine.
  5. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N4kHHz Here is a list I threw together really quickly, and I'm also American so I'm not sure how prices will be for you, so it may make more sense for you go with the list from Kriko28, but here is one that comes out to roughly $1050 and has a pretty good value and should do well for video editing as well as productivity and gaming. It also relies on GPUs being at MSRP, which means a wait will be needed.
  6. For a 3060/3060ti/6700xt you're gonna want either 1080p or 1440p, and probably ~144Hz, so depending on your price point there a huge variety of options. Screen size is pretty subjective, though I wouldn't suggest anything over 24 inches at 1080p. Having multiple monitors is nice, especially for streaming, and there are a ton of reviews and resources out there for you to look at.
  7. I'd go with a mid-range card, whatever you can get should do you well. Something like a 3060 or 3060ti would be good, or something like a 6700XT from AMD. If you need it now, whatever you can buy will be good, but if you're willing to wait, looking at reviews of different AIB cards from ASUS, MSI, or others and their performance will help you get a better bang for your buck. Here's a slightly modified version of your original, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Dvx2dD. I changed some parts out for ones from more reputable brands, though you could save money if you were willing to risk buying from cheaper brands, generally with worse or no warranty. The next logical upgrade would definitely be the CPU, to something like a 3700x or 5800x if possible.
  8. Ok, my bad again. If you're trying to save some money, I'd keep all of the components you have listed in the Pcpartpicker list and buy a new graphics card, RAM, and possibly a monitor or other peripherals such as nicer mic, webcam, lights or anything else for streaming. The things you have listed now should do just fine for playing the games you listed, and if you need to upgrade to a better CPU or something else you can later on. If you're willing to spend to make your experience better ASAP, the lists other people have sent should do you well.
  9. Makes sense, my bad. What kind of games would you be planning on streaming/playing? Also, could you list the specs of your pre-built, if possible?
  10. If your budget is $3000 dollars you can go a lot higher end than you have listed, maybe a typo?
  11. I believe the time for the 3080 and 3090 was 9am EST, so it should stay the same for the 3070, 9am EST on the 29th.
  12. There was a Reply All episode about this about 2 years ago, when the factory was just in planning. Here's the link if anyone is interested: https://gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/wbhjwd.
  13. It's not that surprising, considering that the 20 series was the first iteration of RTX, and its always easier to improve the first version of something. The FPS without ray tracing is only maybe a 50% boost over last gen, so the "2x performance" is somewhat misleading for normal use cases
  14. That would be awesome, since I personally don't need a ton of performance and don't have a huge budget, but I'd like something better than a 16 series. I'm guessing before the end of the year, but you never know
  15. Anyone know if there have been any leaks or announcements about when the 3060 will come out? Judging by the 3070 and 3080, it seems like it would be a really good deal.
