  1. Final post, I got a refund for my GA502 and opted for TUF FX505DV with RTX 2060. I have no issues with it. I don´t I don´t think bring new off the shelf product should need cover vents removal and re pasting however well done to those who did it and it worked! Thanks to everyone for active input and help during this miserable process. It´s a top community.
  2. the throttling came back after 3-4 hours of gaming, even on splitgate. Seems its directly related to how warm it gets. CPU drops down to 400 and hence it drops the FPS. It´s much better than before but I still wouldnt expect it from a month old machine. #ithastogoback
  3. Add me on steam mate, in fact anyone here is welcome to. I only really play PUBG and few other steam games on pc atm. Handle is: xHyPnOtiZeDx GA502 game testing club lol
  4. I mainly want to play smooth pubg, have a go and see after few games some FPS drop comes around. I am getting GTFO and that will really test this machine.
  5. I didnt repaste or removed covers as it will void warranty and I still havent decided if playable is what I had in mind when buying this laptop lol. I´ll keep monitoring it. I played splitgate now for an hour and it was very stable but that game is fairly light on resources.
  6. That happened on the 3 match of pubg, not many hours. Now i´ve been playing for an hour. Occasional FPS drops kick in. from 95 fps to 7. but less frequent. There´s still something there that lowers the CPU to 400. I´ve noticed it on the Crate.
  7. That´s exctly what the issue was before the BIOS upgrade, I could run an old game at low settings and it would still throttle. Now I dont experience this at all. the GTX 1660 Ti Max Q is a capable card. Now I did notice some FPS drops after a while even after the bios Upgrade but really inconsistant. Like everything works frine until it doesnt, I restart the laptop and it works fine for a bit again. I´m still testing this.
  8. Since I didnt send my laptop yet I tried the Bios upgrade. No FPS drops on Ultra Settings in PUBG training mode which is harder or perfromance I belive due to amount of people randomly shooting at you. So far im cauciously optimistic. Got 75-90 FPS stable. When I tried out of Turbo it did drop but I guess it would. I´ll have a gaming session later and will update the progress. Also I didnt use Ryzen Controller so massive improvement. Gonna try splitgate too, I was getting FPS drops on it before too so hope this solves it! EDIT: Time spit - before the Bios update i had framerate drops to 4-7fps every 15 -20 seconds on Low settings. After the update smooth 150 fps with no drops on Epic settings. Quake Champions - Unplayable before the updates. Runs smooth 65 -75 on Epic custom settings, no frame drops. Seems you did it guys. I´ll keep on testing.
  9. Oh wow, that´s just not right. Amazon told me they would send replacement asap. I waited 3 days and called them as there was no updates. Apparently they forgot to inform me they will only send replacement once they receive my return laptop back becuase of the value of the item. Pure BS considering it´s not even that expensive. I´m going to send it tomorrow.
  10. @xBrettx Yes I have, no change. seems like it made things worse. I´m sending this back today. I´ll be back with an update when I get the replacement.
  11. Im giving myself false hopes, there´s a new graphic driver from Nvidia released 2 days ago
  12. I tried it, it seemed fine but then it came back with full force. Pubg Low settings, avg frames 90. and drops to 4fps. I want to cry
  13. Hi Guys, Glad to see I´m not the only one with this problem. I got my Ga502Du last Friday. I got one without OS, I installed a Windows 10 Pro on it, did all the updates and immidiately noticed the FPS on pubg on ultra go from 100-120 to 7-4fps. Very annoyed I´ve read the entire section here and on Day 1 have been trying the Ryzen Controller and ArmourCrate. With the fixes, I am somewhat able to get stable pubg match on low settings. It still lags every here and there. I´ve noticed thorttling even when using browser when it become irresopnsive for a second during most basic tasks. I see that you guys have been at it for a while and there´s no fix in sight. I guess I´ll be sending mine back. I´m on Ryzen 7 2.3 with 16gb RAM & 1660 ti Max-Q. Oh boy did I think I was going to have a fun gaming weekend
