  1. GDRRiley, I wouldn't be able to go with the MB you suggested. WIFI is a must for me. I will definitely take a look at that SSD and RAM switch. Thank you. Quadrum, Would there be that much of a performance difference between the two? Also for anyone that could answer two questions. 1)would it be better to have 16GB DDR4-3600 or 32Gb DDR4-3200?? 2)Would the combo of 3700X/2070super or a combo of 3600X/RTX2080super(gaming at 1440p 144hz)?
  2. I went with that for the secondary monitor because it has the same look as the main one, I would want to keep the matching aesthetic. What would you suggest for the upgrades for the PSU and board. I think the I will be fine with just the SSD for the boot drive and then the 2TB for game library. Would I need more ram for gaming at 1440P 144hz? I generally stick towards FPS and MMOG RPG I should also add im trying to keep the budget to $2000 and I have not included peripherals.

  4. I may switch one monitor out to a 1080p to save some money as I will just be using it for secondary programs(discord, info graphics, maps) so I don't think it needs to be 1440p.
  5. Currently looking at building my first PC. Take a look at the parts I have in the plan and let me know what you think. This is just my starting point for making the final plan, please rip it apart and build it up again in glorious betterness...? 6. Its hard for me to set a budget for the build when I don't know if $1500 is an adequate amount to get solid 1440p 114hz gaming. A budget between $1000-$2000 is probably preferable but I could probably stretch up to $3000(hopefully including peripherals). I was trying to just research on my own but there is a massive learning curve that I'm still trying to push through, This is why I was happy to find this forum.
  7. Hey, I'm a complete noob in the PC world, haven't had one in over 20 years and have never built one. I want to rejoin the gaming master race 1. Budget & Location I haven't really set a budget for myself. I think the budget is going to be based on necessity but I don't want to break the bank. I live real close to Linus HQ. 2. Aim Gaming at 1440p 114hz on AAA titles is the ultimate goal. The first game buy though will be Escape From Tarkov, Its what has started the buzz in me to switch from console to PC. It reminds me of when I was growing up and playing America's Army. 3. Monitors Probably looking at 2, at least one 1440p 114hz is the goal(recommendation gladly wanted) 4. Peripherals going with windows 10 for os(links to getting rid of bloat ware will be helpful, I'm sure Linus has a video or two). I haven't picked out peripherals yet so recommendations would be great. 5. Why are you upgrading? I don't have a desktop, just a really bad word processing laptop.
