  1. @ShearMeI got discord working. But it's happening in Destiny 2 on the steam platform.
  2. So I recently made a switch to the Schiit stack (Magni-modi +3) and I'm not able to get any incoming chat audio from friends. I know the in game settings are right because I can hook up my old stuff and everything works just fine. I am also going to the sound setting and selecting the new device when trying to use it and everythig works great other than game chat. I'm sure this is a user error I just need help figuring that out. If it matters, I had to use the wall plug-in adapter to run the dac because my usb didn't have enough juice,,so the dac is hooked up to the pc with an optical cable. Sorry if this is confusing I'm not really familiar with audio setup..
  3. @ShearMe Again..Thank you for your help and time! I too don't care for the GSX but it works fine(with the 601's) so I just rolled with it. Wish I could control things a little bit more, but i will take your advice and check out these links. Thanks again.
  4. @ShearMe Thank you for helping me with this, but If you were in my shoes what would you go with? I'm not opposed to getting rid of GSX but if the Schiit stack won't be much better than I'm good with keeping it, Or if you have any other recommendations for a dac/amp I would really appreciate it.
  5. I'll start with the fact I'm pretty damn noob'ish with audio,,so bare with me please. This is for gaming mainly but i do love listening to music on my pc. Right now I'm using a pair of Sennheiser 601's paired up with a Sennheiser GSX 1200. It works great but I won a pair of BeyerDynamic DT 770's. I really like them and want to use them but the GSX 1200 can't drive them very well. When using the Senn 601's my normal Volume is 34 but when i plug in those DT 770's I have to jack up the volume to 99 just to get close to the same level. My question is should I buy a new stack, like the Schiit stack? or should/can I add an amp to GSX? I'm kinda lost here. Any recommendations are welcome and thank you in advance
  6. Looking to buy a new monitor I kind of narrowed it down to these 3: Veiwsonic ELITE XG270QG...Lenovo Legion Y27q-20...and The ASUS ROG swift PG927Q. Any insight will help especially if you own one or have owned one..or a friend has one. Basically I suck at making choices when this much money is involved and need help. Thank you!
  7. Do think an all-in-one 240mm cooler would be good enough or would i have to break out block coolers and stuff above my pay grade? I'll be really honest I did watch that video but most of what he was saying might as well have been a foreign language...sorry I'm not there yet with tech speech. But i did catch that a i7 10700k would be 20% easier to cool than an i9 10900k
  8. I'm gaming at 1080 right now but plan to start 1440 after i get done upgrading.
  9. I messed up and bought a pre-built gaming rig 2years ago ( i didn't know any better plz don't hate me)..any way I have a i7-7700 and I plan on replacing it, the ram and mobo. Basically I don't know if i should buy the new i7 10th gen or stay with a 9th gen i9 or i7. Also this is a gaming rig, outside of occasional science fair project for the kids, so I want to stick with Intel. I recently upgraded the GPU ( 2070 super) and the power source ( 650w) if that matters on what i can use. Thanks in advance for any help you give
  10. I have the ASUS and absolutely love it. It's great for price point
  11. Looking at getting a new monitor. Here is what I have currently, 24in 144 hertz 1080p TN,, running a 2070 super so I do want G-Sync I was thinking of moving up 27in 1440 IPS. Any recommendations and is the move worth it I mainly play Destiny 2 or Escape from Tarkov but will play RDR2 and story games like that. I can go up to $600 but wouldn't mind staying around $400,,not interested in widescreen. Thank you in advance.
