  1. It looks like i'd be skimping way too much on some parts but putting more money into others making the build unbalanced. Also, why that RAM? I have never heard of that brand before and it looks incredibly ugly.
  2. I am really confused because there are so many options it's starting to make my head spin. I just want a system that I can build for about $600 that is well rounded and can play modern games with medium to high settings with a good frame rate. I don't really have any preferences between AMD/Intel. I also do not need an OS or any other peripherals. I don't really care about how the case looks or the color scheme of the build as long as it's not gold and it matches. This is going to be mainly used as a gaming PC but I also am a programmer and want to get into modding games too. I am being forced to upgrade now because my current computer was really old and it died on me. There is nothing that I want to reuse from my old computer simply because it's 4+ years old. Thanks for help in advance. p.s. I will only be using one monitor. Note: This was my original build I was going to do but I saw a lot of people saying that an i3 was not good for gaming and the 750ti is also not a very good card. I thought I was onto something but ended up being more confused. [http://pcpartpicker.com/user/yukiuro/saved/Pw38TW]
  3. I understand that APU's are good for the budget but you cannot Crossifre with the R9 270x so the onboard graphics added by the APU would be overridden.
  4. What do you think is a recommended budget for a decent gaming rig? I can stretch it to $1000 if I sold my Xbox, which I am thinking about doing.
  5. I can go up to $1000 if I sell my Xbox which I could do. However I am currently trying to get a job and if I can then I will wait and save up. However I thought you guys had more imagination. Here is the build I came up with for $800 :\ http://pcpartpicker.com/user/yukiuro/saved/4zJM
  6. Hello everyone! I am building my first computer for gaming but am really lost and I need some assistance. My budget is a strict $800 (US) for the computer and peripherals ie. monitor (1 monitor @ 1920x1080), mouse, and keyboard. This will be used purely for gaming/entertainment purposes. I honestly have no preferences on parts as long as they are reputable and work as supposed to. I mostly play single player games like Bioshock, Thief, Fallout, Dishonored, Far Cry 3, Skyrim etc. and since my current build cannot play games very well I thought it was time for an upgrade. My goal is to be able to play my games with good visuals and decent FPS. At this budget I don't plan on OC so don't worry about that. Any help/ideas/tips on builds will be very helpful. Oh also I do not need an OS or optical drive because I can use those from my current build. Thanks for the help in advance. - Yuki
  7. Hey, do you think you could make me another build with an $800 budget?
  8. I think I like this build that I made. It's small and compact and takes up very little power. It should play games at 1080p just fine. And I know you may think I don't need 16gb of RAM, but I do for what I am doing. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3zeXp
  9. Would that build allow me to play a modded Skyrim with good fps at 1080p?
  10. I am using US dollars. I now need a build at $800. Without the monitor or keyboard/mouse. I also don't need an OS or optical drive. Thanks for the help.
  11. Thanks for all the help guys. I am still deciding and doing a bit more research. Does anyone else want to put their two cents in? I would appreciate any more feedback/assistance.
  12. I really like this build and It think it may be something I consider, but what about the CPU cooler? Is the stock cooler good enough to use?
  13. Wow those are some pretty convincing scores there. Seems to me I would be better off with an Intel 4 core. What do you think about this? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/yukiuro/saved/4rIV
  14. My choice now is really depending on the CPU I choose. I think the 4670k would be the best for gaming. But I feel the 8320 might be the best balance between gaming and application running for multiple tasks. I don't know how well the 4670k will do with 5+ applications running at the same time and switching between, for example: Skyrim, Firefox, Photoshop, The Creation Kit, Blender, Microsoft Word, Notepad++, and Adobe Reader. That's the reason I wanted 16GB. So my real decision is going to be based on which can handle multiple applications running while gaming. But since I have never used an 8 core AMD processor before or a 4 core intel processor, I don't know which one will work best for me.
