  1. This is super interesting, i wonder how many cores Autocad Architecture uses, i work with that program more so than Revit. But from the information you have just provided im tempted to just get the gaming rig i want and sod paying out for a quadro workstation.
  2. People love the "gamery" look, ive no idea why, i even find the snake logo on the razers a bit much, ive often thought that there text logo is better than the snake one. Anyway yes i agree, Its like 1 company thought it was what all gamers wanted and everyone else followed suit.
  3. This is a subject that has been covered many times, but never really got to the bottom off by anyone on YT. Im a 3D designer that works with Revit and Autocad Architecture, building 3D models from the ground up, my files are usually no bigger than 35mb. Can a gaming laptop work as well as a QUADRO workstation laptop, and does the most powerful always mean better user experience? Building and rotating a 3D model works well on some laptops and worse on others that may have, on paper, better specs, this contradicts what the manufacturers are telling us. More power, more productivity, isnt that how it works. What i would like to do would be to install ACA and Revit onto various laptops and use them and see what runs the best. I feel the actual issue here and why its a minefield has nothing to do with the best QUADRO or the best CPU, maybe there is a compatibility sweet spot for hardware thats specific to different software packages. Or maybe its far simpler, AUTODESK software is just buggy. This would be a helpful discovery. I want to get away from the dreaded 'workstation' price tag, and im sure many other AUTODESK users would as well. As a side note i feel there is a difference between real time 3d model building and rendering and how tour system will perform. Any thoughts peeps
