  1. So, I built my PC about 15 months ago and it has been running without issue since then. Until yesterday... Yesterday it took 3 attempts to POST but then ran fine all day. Today it took 2 attempts but ran fine until my fiance tried to connect to her work VPN and the machine cut out. Rebooted fine and ran all day without a problem again, until I tried to open Steam this evening and it cut out again. Now it wont POST and it's giving me a DRAM error code. All the fans spin up, all the MoBo onboard led strips come on, all the RGB comes on into default unicorn puke patterns, GPU powers up but the PC just will not POST. + I've tried the CMOS jumper + I've tried the power/reset switch combo BIOS reset + I've tried removing the CMOS battery and leaving it 20min + I've tried removing all uneccesary power draw (unplugged all rgb and rgb controllers) + Completely disassembled and rebuilt the whole machine checking and cleaning all components (including checking CPU pins) and connections + Tried booting with just CPU, all 4 sticks of RAM and GPU + Tried removing all RAM and testing each slot with each stick of RAM, 1 stick at a time + Tried having 2 sticked of RAM in slots 2+4 + Also tried 2 sticks in slots 1+3 I'm still getting nothing except the onboard MoBo/RAM RGB lighting and a DRAM error light.... It flashes the CPU error light on switching on as normal but it goes out like it should to indicate CPU self-test pass (which I think should mean that 24-pin and 8-pin CPU power is fine) and then gets stuck on DRAM Any thoughts or further suggestions other than a warranty RMA?? I've contacted Gigabyte to see what they say but they take 3-5 working days between each suggestion. I figured the LTT community are faster and have more combined experience. Its really quite urgent as my fiance is a keyworker for social services trying to work from home who is now unable to work until I get this PC back up and running, hence why I'm hoping to get it running and avoid RMAing the MoBo. Main Specs: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming, BIOS F50 Ryzen 7 2700 Asus GTX1060 Dual OC 3GB Kingston HyperX Predator 4x8GB (is supported)
  2. No joy. My RAM is still doing the same thing on the new Beta Build B20.0303. Its doing it less frequently, but it is still doing it so unfortunately I dont think B20.0303 will solve your problem.
  3. I'm using Fusion as well and have noticed my RGB RAM 'jump' to red and begin cycling again at random intervals when on colour cycle too. I have been in contact with gigabyte esupport about other issues, yesterday they have sent me one of their Beta builds for a future update (build B20.0303.1, current release is B20.0122.1). I've not had chance to do anything other than install it and check it resolved the 2 issues I had reported as I have been on shift the last couple of days. However, I'm off tomorrow so will see if B20.0303.1 solves the colour cycling glitch with my RAM. If it does I could either send it to you or you could raise an esupport ticket with Gigabyte and see if they will send it you too to try.
  4. Well I have since had a reply now. Their response to "your update to the latest version of RGB Fusion has stopped some RGB functionality from working" was..... "try updating to our latest version, does that help?"....?? EDIT: Todays esupport staff member is obviously better than the previous one. They've already sent me 3 different build versions to try to find which is the latest build that works for both my RAM and my Aorus ATC800 cooler. Having now found that RGBFusion build B19.1114 will control my RAM and restore full functionality to the CPU Temp/Fan speed display they say they have now notified the dev team to identify why those features work on B19.1114 and why they no longer work on B20.122
  5. I tried contacting gigabyte support about a fortnight ago about RGBFusion 'forgetting' the RAM that gigabyte product support pages say IS supported for RGBFusion control. I've had absolutely ZERO response from the support ticket I raised.
  6. So we'll start with a quick rundown of the main sections of my system relevant to todays question. MoBo: Gigayte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator RGB Fans: Corsair LL series So, back to that question. Up until a few weeks ago RGB Fusion would quite happily detect the RGB in my MoBo and RAM. However, it has now stopped detecting my RAM even though it is on Gigabyte's supported RGB RAM list. Now I can regain control of the RAM if I install the HyperX Ngenuity app though this will ONLY control the RAM. BUT I have some new LL series fans arriving later today which will need to use iCue for control that would then mean I would be using 3 separate RGB control apps which is about 2 more than I would like to use, but definitely 1 more than I am willing to use. Does anyone know of any software other than RGBFusion that can interface and control Gigabyte MoBo RGB without using RGBFusion?
  7. I thought that would be the case. Thanks both
  8. Hi all, Quick query (possibly); I am about to upgrade my GPU. I currently have an Asus GTX1060 3GB, plan is to upgrade to a Gigabyte RTX2070 Super Aorus. Are there any benefits at all to keeping the old GPU in my machine as well as the new one or will it cause more problems than it's worth? Rest of the main part of the rig is an AMD Ryzen7 2700 CPU with a Gigabyte X470 "Aorus Ultra Gaming" MoBo Thanks in advance.
