  1. What about 2-3 months?ONLY
  2. So I have this recently bought gpu "Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 8gb Special Edition". It requires a 8 pin and a 6 pin connector. But my PSU "Dell 525w 6w651" of the Precision T3500 has only 1*6 pin connector. Before I had a MSI Gtx 560 SE ,Which required 2*6 pin connectors. I had an adaptor SATA to 6pin and it worked exellently without any issues for over 3 years. But as I recently(after buying rx580) came to know that Sata only provides 50w on 12v.(That's why gtx 560 worked well.) But for RX580, I was thinking maybe if I could use an adaptor 6pin to eight pin for the 1*6 pin psu PCI-E and use the SATA to 6pin to power it.. I don't have budget to buy a new PSU at the moment. So, Can I run this for say what 2-3 months. I am aware of this thing also that if power supply need to use adaptors means its not built for such condition. But I need to wait for making budget for New suitable psu. Thanks.
  3. I am going to buy a 650w gold power supply. But people keep telling me to get a 550w cause thats going to be enough. I would have power watts usage around 523w( by calculator without adding any extra watts, its basically the maximum watts being used by my components). So, I wanted to know that is running a psu at about 100% load is a good thing (by getting a 550w psu) or getting a 650w psu for about 80% load. My pc specs: -)Dell T3500 Motherboard -)Intel Xeon W3530 @2.8GHz(stock not OC) -) Sapphire Rx 580 nitro+ 8GB Special Edition ( boost clock of 1430MHz) -) 4*2GB DDR3 Ram -)SATA 5.9K RPM 500GB Seagate HDD -)2 2.0 USB -)Gaming keyboard mouse I have currently Cooler Master MWE gold 650w fully modular in mind.
  4. Rx 580 requires 550w as minimum and running a power supply at its full potential at almost full load won't hurt pc or PSU performance?lifespan? When i used calulator at different websites they all gave me the same answer minimum required psu 523w.... And then they added the extra as 33% which makes it 650w
  5. I have this rig: Dell T3500 Xeon w3530@2.8GHz, 4*2GB DDR3 ram Sapphire Rx 580 nitro+ 8GB (Clocked to 1430). Are these psu good cause they are available and applicable to my budget. -Cooler master mwe gold 650w fully modular -Antec High Current Gamer 650w 80+ gold fully modular -Antec Earth watts Pro 650w Gold semi modular. Are these PSU's good? For this rig.

  7. Rx 480 with that psu and cpu might do well but you might need to upgrade your psu for better future. Also please tell how old that psu is? Cause psu can wear and tear down over long periods.
  8. They are not perfect but they give you a rough idea.
  9. Its good. It wouldn't bottleneck.
  10. No bro. For a system like T3500's psu, the rx 580 is not the thing. That system is like 2013's and the psu of that is not well for a power demanding like gpu. I take back my words on x series better (i don't know why i said that , maybe said in flow). But PSU of T3500 is a serious case and buying a new good psu is must 200% for rx 580. Believe me i had experienced and considered burning my MB.
  11. By fake i didn't meant that it is a useless card. I know the gpu sizes of both. I just gave him an opinion to save some extra bucks to maybe spend on something better like any better peripheral over getting 1-2 frames Better performance. These tiny little frames doesn't matter much and there is hardly minor difference. And by the way, I have researched this well cause i faced this case myself well and now i feel happy with my decision and I don't smash my hands on keyboard, I use a Phone For Tech tips Lamo.
  12. For Graphic card i would recommend rx 580 nitro+ 8gb over 5500xt.. Being new doesn't mean dominant. You will get 580 8gb cheaper and better performance.
  13. Rx 590 is just a fake. Just dollars higher than the rx 580. There is no difference just 1 or 2 frame maximum.i would suggest you to get a rx 580 to save some for your wallet to be happy.
  14. Before buying psu try this website to get a roughly idea of watts u need. Be honest with info??: https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator
  15. But one thing important. If u are using the basic power supply which is a Dell 525w i think. Before spending cash on cpu think spending on a psu. The dell psu will not do the trick for a card like rx580. It is very powerful and resource demanding gpu but everything about performance and its price its a beast. The dell psu does not provide enough power when the gpu starts to get tense into modern games. Thus due to psu not providing enough power the system shuts down to not damage any other component.(THIS IS A VERY RISKY THING). You don't want to have your whole system burnt down for some dollars psu. I would say before spending cash on cpu try getting a new psu of good company with good build quality,80+ bronze or above efficient. Getting new cpu is not a good option over a psu in your case. I would recommend if on budget try 650w or 750w psu. Try these psu: Crosair VS650 WHITE+ Cooler Master MWE Gold 650w fully modular Seasonic Evga 650w bronze
