  1. Booted into safe mode to no success. I showed hidden devices and scanned for hardware changes do no avail. did lspci and found nothing on the PCI slot. Used ubuntu on a different computer with an APU. 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor DRAM Controller (rev 06)00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor PCI Express x16 Controller (rev 06)00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06)00:03.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor HD Audio Controller (rev 06)00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family USB xHCI Controller00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family ME Interface #100:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V00:1a.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family USB EHCI Controller #200:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family HD Audio Controller00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 1 (rev d0)00:1c.3 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge (rev d0)00:1d.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family USB EHCI Controller #100:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation H97 Chipset LPC Controller00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family SATA Controller [AHCI Mode]00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 9 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller03:00.0 PCI bridge: ASMedia Technology Inc. 2. MOBO: ASRock B450M P4 CPU: R5 3600 stock speed with stock cooler GPU (in question GIGABYTE 1070ti 8gb) MSI 1050ti 4gb RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengance DDR4 3200 PSU: Corsair 800W The story so far: GPU would give graphics crashes and eventually stopped working. Eventually was unable to be detected by device manager or GPUZ. The fans spin and the RGB lights up. Audio will play in the background without drivers installed. I want to get it detected by windows so I can flash the bios as I believe it is corrupted. Ive exhausted all of my resources and am trying to hit a last ditch effort before just buying another GPU come tax return season. Interventions so far: RMAd (denied due to small surface oxidation) Given to local repair shop (Unable to get it to work) Ultrasonic cleaned Deoxit on the oxidation DDU on drivers Tried on a 550W power supply Tried on a different mobo Tried on a different PCI slot Tried with new RAM Getting it detected by windows would be a massive step in this diagnostic process
  3. I’m not sure why this is affecting the card. I don’t run SLI but I still don’t get video output. I get video output with my other GPU so it has to be something wrong with the card
  4. Hey guys! First time using the LTT forum for something. I bought a Gigabyte Nvidia 1070ti 8gb new from Newegg and put about 5-6 months of pretty regular use on it. Near the end of its life it started randomly giving graphical crashes. Then would powerloop the computer. Then just wouldn’t display graphics all together. Fans spin and the RGB lights up. Funny enough it’ll play a YouTube video through my monitors speaker (plugged into the dead card) I don’t have integrated gpx on this chip. I RMAd the card into gigabyte and waited for them to do their thing when they send it back and said it was inoperable due to poor working conditions and that there was oxidation. They said they couldn’t fix it and sent it back. This damage is in a strange spot and the only thing that comes to mind is maybe the outside humidity caused a spot of oxidation. I live in south Louisiana afterall. Im going to try some deoxit when it gets ordered. Anything I can do to try and remedy this since the warranty doesn’t mean anything anymore? Pic attached thanks for any help guys
