  1. Hello everybody, I am currently upgrading my PC and I have a couple of questions. I have the motherboard, a Z790 Aorus Elite Ax and I wanted to buy a pair of Corsair Vengeance Memories but I found that they are AMD compatible. The pair I wanted to get is this: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-DDR5-Memory---Optimized-for-AMD/p/CMK32GX5M2B5600Z36 Would there be any problem if I bought this pair of RAM? I am kinda limited about the RAM height because it would conflict with my Noctua NH-D15.
  2. ATX, the motherboard will be a Z790 Aorus. I've also been checking the compatibility of various cases on Noctua's website. I have found the measurements of the cooler and from what I see, the total height of the cooler = 165 mm and that means, if I raise up the front cooler with 3-4 mm in order to hang over the ram, the total height would be 168-169mm, meaning it would fit in a case with 170mm CPU cooler clearance.
  3. Hello there, I am currently upgrading my gaming rig and I have a big problem regarding the case. I bought a CPU cooler Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black and from what I saw, I have to move up the front cooler in order to not overlap the ram. From what I saw, the RAM which is a Corsair Vengeance 5600, CL36 is 35mm and the cooler can handle without problems 32mm. Now I have to look for a case which is bigger than 170mm CPU cooler clearance. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the info! I got a couple of questions about ram and cooling. Will my ddr 4, 16gb @ 3000 run alright with the cpu? is there any way i can oc the ram to 3200? regarding the cooling, i have an id cooling xt 225, is it enough ? The tdp of the cooler is 210 w.
  5. Hello everybody, I want to upgrade my Ryzen 5 2600 to Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but I want to put it on my msi B450 Tomahawk motherboard. Is this mobo good enough to handle this CPU? Thank you!
  6. Budget (including currency): 1000 euros Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and a lil bit of programming, maybe. Other details: Hello all, So, my current build was made in late 2018 and it has the following components: CPU: R5 2600; CPU COOLER: ID Cooling XT225 Black edition; MOBO: msi B450 Tomahawk; RAM: 16GB HyperX Predator @ 3000; GPU: RTX 2070 Super; PSU: Seasonic Focus GX, 750 W, Gold +; Storage: HDD, SSD, m.2; Was thinking that now is a good time to make an upgrade on CPU, MOBO and COOLER and for that I have 2 options in mind: Intel solution: CPU: i5 13600K MOBO: MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 / GIGABYTE B660 GAMING X DDR4 COOLER CPU: NZXT Kraken X63 Amd solution: CPU: R5 5800X3D since I have the platform and the cooling for it. Thank you!
  7. Thank you very much for your responses, I will go with the ID 225 XT.
  8. Hello everybody, I've decided to change my current stock cooler for my CPU ( Ryzen 2600 ) with an aftermarket one. So far I have found two really good contenders, but I am not sure which one of those its better. Cooler CPU ID-Cooling SE-225-XT Black vs. Cooler CPU ARCTIC AC Freezer 34 eSports DUO Grey Initially I was set on buying the ID-Cooling as it's a more recent model and maaaaybe it will be compatible with the future AMD platform (AM5). The price difference between those is really small, so this won't be a problem. Mobo: msi Tomahawk B450 Case: Segotep Lux Black II Could you please advise which one of those two coolers is better? Thank you,
  9. Thank you very much, everybody, we will try those suggestions and I'll let you know. Have a good night/day!
  10. Found the specs of the RAM: https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX430C15PB3K2_8.pdf . If we set the V from the specs, he might be able to stabilize at least at 2666. Late note: Looks like he did try to put it manually on 1.35 and it's not working, apparently he can't reach 3000Mhz on all sticks, guess we should aim for 2666.
  11. @MoonzyHis profiles are 1 - 3000Mhz, 2 - 2666Mhz. I saw a video on YouTube and they said that default speed on DDR RAM is 2133, somehow my friend's are at 18xx. Thats the first thing that popped in my mind.
  12. I'll call the old pair of sticks - A, the new pair of sticks B. A - alone, works fine. B - alone, works fine. AB - not booting. After he managed to boot ( did some voodoo or I don't know what exactly he did ) in Task and Bios - RAM Speed - 18xx. Do you know the recommended voltage to put?
