  1. 71 is way below showdown temp. What psu do you have?
  2. @Yousaf-Babur i9 is better: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Xeon-E5640-vs-Intel-Core-i9-9900K/m11771vs4028 Why are you comparing these? If you're on a budget and can find a cheap motherboard for the xeons it might be a reasonable choice.
  3. Did you check if there is a bios-update available for your motherboard?
  4. Do you run those programs simultaneously? How much RAM does your laptop have? A 9750H is indeed a lot faster, but if you really need the processing power a desktop would be recommended. A remote desktop solution allows you to work with the desktop from a low-end device / laptop.
  5. MSI b450 Tomahawk Max is a great option value-wise and works straight out-of-the-box with Ryzen 3000.
  6. That's an excellent model. It's safety-measures will automatically shut it off before it will even be able to damage any components. No worries about hooking everything up immediately.
  7. What is the rest of your build? Indeed the Fractal Design Define R6 is a nice, quiet case. You can even replace the stock fans with some premium (even more silent) Noctua's for on your budget.
  8. seems unlikely that your cpu would be fried. Did you short / use jumper on cmos reset while the psu power cord was disconnected?
  9. 70C is still ok though. Did you check if they still spin on your old setup?
  10. What did you find in your research? Cube-sized models are itx / m-atx most of the time.
