    Dear linustechtips community, I have noticed a problem regarding my down/up speeds and I would appreciate any help. When I connect my computer directly without my router the speed is around 80 Mbps, however, when I connect my router the speeds go down to around 50 Mbps (wired). I have a 100 Mbps connection and my router is ASUS WL-520gc. And I did a reset, factory reset, firmware update. Why is my router doing this to me? How can I fix this? Or should I get a new one? And if so - what spec. should I look for in a router so this does not happen again? Thank you for your time.
