  1. 6/10, man is unnaturally happy. Also, I broke this thread because no picture.
  2. Well, potato batteries seem more fun to use in my opinion. Also, I was bored in science.
  3. I was considering powering a small Tesla Coil with a bunch of potato batteries. So, I wanted to know it from the science guys who I'm sure hang around here, how realistic of a goal would it be?
  4. Oh, sorry. My knowledge of the rules and etiquette is limited, I should probably read up on that.......
  5. Apple makes fairly good products, but they're a bit expensive. I still have my laptop so I can move it around my house. But, if you don't do that, I would say remove the SSD, replace it with something cheap, Apple approved, and effective. Then, sell it and get a really nice gaming rig.
    1. Osmium

      Osmium

Are very good. Especially on the dinner plate.

  6. Thanks everyone, I knew this place had a great community, but I didn't expect so much in so little time.
  7. Sorry that's what I want, however I'm tech challenged, so I'll get some help from Mr. Osmium and occasionally seek advice from the community.
  8. Okay, I think I'll keep the laptop for when I have nothing better to do and get a simple desktop to go with it. Thanks all, I really appreciate it.
  9. Okay, I understand some of this, do I profit by having a great new computer or something else?
  10. I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to computers and so, I turned to the one place where I knew I could get help. I have a Dell Studio 1737 with 17 inch display. It just stopped working and I have to wipe the hard drive. How realistic of a concept is installing the Steam OS? If that is not a realistic option, would I be able to use the shell of the laptop and update it with better parts. If so, how big of a problem would the monitor be, can it be updated.
