  1. Hell if I know how. Installing EVGA Precision made it *better* but didn't fix it. Still ramps up and down during load, even when reporting fan speed at 100%. The GPU is around a year old, but I don't have the receipt anymore and the dude on their website wasn't helpful at all. He tried to scold me for using afterburner saying it's made for "only MSI cards" etc
  2. I tried manually pinning the fan to 100. Heard it ramp up, then when I put it under load, it went right back down. It was reporting fan speed at 100%, but actual fan RPM's were around 2000.
  3. Yo! I'm having the same issue with a similar (the same?) card. I have a PNY GTX 1080 OC edition, same exact issue. Same troubleshooting. Same no-avail. Let me know if you find a fix, I'll do the same. No clue what's up, man. Sorry for Necro.
  4. Hey. So basically I noticed that while playing Overwatch, my PNY GTX 1080 OC fans simply do not speed up and are letting the temperature get past 83c. I've tried resetting Afterburner, uninstalling afterburner, re-flashing BIOS, re-installing Windows, all to no avail. I really don't know what to do with this issue anymore. I don't even know how to troubleshoot it and I'm an extremely experienced Overclock(er?) and Windows user. Another funny "symptom", when I turn the fans up to 100% in Afterburner (at idle) I can hear them turn on and see the temperature rapidly decrease. However, when I pin them to 100% and put load on the GPU (Stress test or a game) the fans seem to go back to around 10% and will not move at all. I opened GPU-Z and ran a stress test. The fan speed Percentage value (%) does indeed increase, but the fan RPM's don't. They just don't go up. At all. Sometimes, for less than half a second, I'll see the RPM's hit 10,000 (Where they should be at, at that temperature) then they return to hovering around 2,000. This is really giving me a headache, I don't know what to do about it. Any help would be appreciated
