  1. Technically, but it's not a microswitch. I don't know what imho is, but no, you're not wrong.
  2. Servers: Ubuntu Server, FreeBSD I use FreeBSD for file servers since ZFS is a built in option. Ubuntu is just easy to get up and running quickly. Main Workstation for work and gaming: Arch + KDE I use Arch because I like having a clean, minimal system. Family's PCs: Pop!_OS My wife and kids use Pop because it's easy enough for 10 year olds and non-tech minded people to figure out. It just works and that's what they need.
  3. I use a 1988 IBM Model M. Buckling spring, no switches. It's great for everything and have been using it since 1994.
  4. I prefer for install it on FreeNAS in a jail because I like using zfs among other various things. The addons are a no go for me since they are always terribly out of date. https://www.samueldowling.com/2018/12/08/install-nextcloud-on-freenas-iocage-jail-with-hardened-security/ is a good guide.
  5. I still need to create another DMZ for IOT and smart devices. Also getting rid of the Domain Controllers as they're only used for LDAP and DNS. Replacing with Linux servers.
  6. 1. I spend a lot of money and time on my PC builds. I want to own and control what I built, not Microsoft. 2. The variety of software is incredible and most distributions include everything most people need. 3. Linux is better with handling resources and typically faster. 4. Gaming has improved exponentially in recent years and will only get better with Stadia in the works. Lutris and Valve Proton have done amazing work. 5. Your choice as to which desktop environment you want and if/how you want to customize it.
  7. There are other photo editing programs that are more basic. GIMP is very much like Photoshop, it has a learning curve, but I seamlessly transitioned from Photoshop to GIMP. I found DaVinci to be really unnecessary, Kdenlive works great and has all the normal features.
