Sorry, this is from another thread I started but its narrowed down to one mobo now and maybe wanted to hear of goods/bads. Its $199 at Amazon but the NewEgg's sale on that board ends in 10 hours for $169. Any opinions on the AX V2? Being paired with a new R5 5600x. Thank you! https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-b550-aorus-elite-ax-v2/p/N82E16813145248

Stay away from the AM4's with the 5600x? As you mentioned, the chances of upgrading the CPU option.... down the road is a must on my end. Maybe I should have initially said in the first post that I kinda don't want to get locked into a mobo that in two years, theres no CPU upgrade path Thank you for pointing out the Newegg boards. On that NIC issue you brought up in the beginning, where those driver issues possibly that have been corrected maybe later on? I'd be a little surprised if any manfucature would sell boards with flaky NIC's for long period of time. Thank You too Zando, getting narrowed down!

Wasn't going one way or another, but I really appreciate that detailed layout of those boards. That gives me great relief. Wifi isn't needed for this build, liking those ideas. The beefy VRM's on the GB X v2 might just seal it for me. And the BIOS flashback is another selling point that you brought up, thank you! Weeding out the 96% is what I was looking for and hopefuly points made on the rest. Cheers and TY!

Wow, nice, thank you a bunch! So glad you brought up the vrm heatsinks, that I would have over looked. Clean BIOS like you said, glad you mentioned that too ! Both of those I would have overlooked in persuit of features. But as you said, slots etc, pretty much the same. Look forward to your find on the NIC's if you get the chance. Thanks again!! Cheers

Can you ID this clock in this setup?

Wow, nice find! Unfortunatly not in the UK, hopefully it comes back in stock. Marked to watch. Thank You! -
Googled to the bone, an hour of, no luck. It would be a stocking stuffer for my Son so.... no rush here.

OK did it. And I didn't have to go back to Windows 2000 Now heres the problem, like I was saying, EVERY click, not just folders etc. Example? Like clicking chrome tabs, of course nothing. Clicking links, nothing. And many more. Why is this such a convoluted mess? One check box - turns your mouse clicks into a click sound. Why is this so hard?!
-
I've searched all over I keep seeing - right click on speaker icon, click sounds, then sound tab. OK yeah. Some say add effect for folder access. Then some say add for 'select' or closing window, etc. then pick sound. NO I just want to friggin have it so every time I left click, no matter what folder, what box or file - that it makes a click sound from a .wav Why has this become a science project? How the hell can I simply make it so when I lift click - ANYWHERE, it makes a click sound?! The default sound effects suck, I have my own 'click' .wav to add into the pre-selected drop down sound effects - but that's another topic. Thank You.

Took a quick peek, looks just like this scenerio. Will dig through it! But thats why I come to LTT forums, all the answers for everything are here! WizTree here. (if you haven't tried it, do, its miles and miles quicker than that other visual file viewer (cant remember the name, its old old). Not seeing any temp's with anything close to multiple gb's.
-
Run box: %temp%, temp, recent, prefetch. CTR-A (select all files inside folders / delete) C: Windows / software distribution folder / download folder - all removed Disk cleanup: everything ticked in temps/caches - removed Browser: 'all time' and everything removed Why the heck am I seeing this after the purge?! TY!

Trying to plow through "review" sites is nearly worthless, you don't know whos saying what based on what $$ they were given or free stuff they nabbed. Biased to the 9's. I swore I saw a year or so ago, Linus showing a chair that was extremely affordable and comfy with goodies. Looking to spend $250 - $275 max. Hope it was OK to ask here, didn't know where else to put it. Thank you, look forward to hearing some ideas! Cheers edit: Amazons top 50 gamer chairs. I have ZERO idea here. https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Video-Game-Chairs/zgbs/home-garden/668180011

Wow, thank you a ton for getting back. I do agree on just ditching it, its a nice snappy laptop, I fixed the OS before the screen broke by the person. Excellent ideas on the upgrades - I think, think he's just gonna say 'keep it'. He already has a beasty i9 lappy, he rarely used this one. Sounds really great on laptopscreen.com ! Yeah the touch basically doubled the price for a non touch. I've read that you cant just replace with a non-touch, and as you said. What exactly needs to be done to get a non touch working? I think I even read something bout the OS not recognizing the screen or some such craziness. PS: When you can ever get the reach, dental floss works best working through double sided tape without pulling/twisting on things Thanks a bunch CTHUN!

As you can see in one of the shots, broken screen. He said it fell off the bed. OK. Replacing the screen. Tried to simply plug in an hdmi and power it up to a working monitor, nothing. No BIOS nothing showing. So I'm assuming the port needs to be enabled in the OS. Which leads me to a laptop that has no markings as to what model it is. I've looked over every millimeter. Only thing I know about its age is that it has HP OEM W10 on it from the factory. Thank You a ton !
