Rombo Deadfish's Achievements

  1. I am using Fan Xpert II as well and it is able to control the 3 pin fans on both my Z87-A and Maximus Formula VI.
  2. Are you using the AI Suite Fan Expert or just the bios setting?
  3. All of the chassis fans are 3 pin and are controllable through the AI Suite. Why is the OPT CPU different?
  4. The CPU cooler has a 4 pin fan on it the other 4 case fans are 3 pin. All of the chassis fan speeds are controllable even though they have 3 pins. Please clarify
  5. And if the fans are different that would cause the OPT one to run at full speed?
  6. Okay then shoudn't it run at the same RPM as the CPU fan then?
  7. Is there any way to control the optional CPU fan speed on this board? It is recognized in the AI Suite but it doesn't create a curve for it. There is no control for it in the BIOS either it is just running at max all of the time.
  8. I did a build with a 300R used 3 Corsair silent air flow series fans for cooling. 2 in the front for intake and 1 in the back for exhaust. I also used a noctua 120mm tower cpu cooler. The case fans would run mostly around 400 RPM and the CPU fan would ramp up to 800 RPM under 60% load. The system was always very cool and quiet.
  9. Consider going with a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 and a Noctua 120mm CPU cooler. The H100i in a Corsair Graphite 600T isn't the optimal configuration. I purchased the 600T based on its' looks and the reviews that I saw on it. Placed the fans for the H100i under the top grill as recommended by corsair. I am not exactly thrilled with the results.
  10. I'm looking for something that I can mount inside the existing internal cage so that I can keep the stock outside covers. I did find this: http://www.mountainmods.com/mountain-mods-alu-triple-120-black-anodized-525-baycover-p-649.html Any opinions on its' feasibility for my situation?
  11. I currently have a maximus formula vi in a corsair graphite 600T with a H100i cooling a i7-4770K, mild OC of 3.9GHZ. I have the rad mounted at the top with 2 fans pulling air in from the outside. A 200mm intake in the front, 4 120mm intakes in the side panel and 1 120mm exhaust at the rear. I purchased the case based on the reputation or Corsair and its' aesthetics. It has very poor air flow as the VRMs always hit high 50's when the CPU is under 50% load. My next build(parts already ordered) will be a Z87-A, core i7-4770K being cooled by a noctua 120mm tower air cpu cooler. After doing much research I decided to go with the Fractal Design Arc Midi r2 an added an additional one of their 140mm fans for the front. I plan on running this build at 3.9GHZ as well and I am confident that it will run cooler than my above mentioned gaming rig. Go with the Fractal Design case as it is optimized to keep things cool inside.
  12. I have 3 open 5.25" bays in the top of my case. Does anyone know of a mounting bracket for a 120mm fan that will fit in the 3 bays?
  13. Don't waste your time with the H100i, the closed loop liquid coolers are way over rated. Save some money and go with an Noctua NH-U12S you will get the same performance for 1/2 the price.
  14. Why has EA discontinued development for titles such as Madden 2014, NHL 2014, NBA 2014 for the PC platform?
  15. I have 4 fans blowing on the MB from the side of my case and when play need for speed most wanted 2012 the vrm temps still climb into the high 50s, I also have a 200MM in the front sucking air in.
