  1. So I've posted about this a while ago I believe. All the USB ports on my pc randomly reset while in game. If I get PCIE USB ports, do you think I can bypass the issue? If so any recommendations on a brand for it? I look on Amazon and I see a ton of chinese type brands and don't know what to get.
  2. i will do that, if i can figure out how to do VR using my bluetooth controllers. i don't know if its that bluetooth adapter though, ive tried other ones in the past.. lemme start by updating everything
  3. 1&2 should put it in dual slot mode. That's what you need
  4. https://versus.com/en/amd-ryzen-5-3600-vs-intel-core-i5-8400h this tells you everything better with the amd processor
  5. when looking near you're ram slots it should tell you slot a 1, slot a 2, slot b 1 slot b 2 (example) and it should be in the first slot (1) of a and b to run it in dual channel. what MB do you have
  6. there are settings in windows to tell apps to use specific drivers. try to go through the apps settings and make sure its not stuck using the integrated graphics. let me know what you find
  7. chances are you may need to replace your mother board. what specs are you running? i know once i saw a spark on laptop, nothing worked after, not even the charging light
  8. how long ago did you get this system? did it work previously?
  9. i have my keyboard, mouse, microphone, bluetooth adapter, wireless headphone adapter, and mouse pad. im forgetting my case fans are controlled through a USB hub as well, thats just going to a control box. and VR headset only when gaming in VR
  10. its all USB ports conencted to the motherboard. the front hub, the rear, and everything. i replaced the processor thinking that might fix it and it did temporarily but it came back and is just very inconvenient. i used to have the ryzen 2600 when it was out
  11. OK so I'm running into issues with my USB hubs and i don't know what is the problem with my system. it will run for days without problems and moderate use, occasionally all my USB hubs just, reset. all my RGB goes back to default colors for a split second, mouse and keyboard takes 2-3 seconds to respond again. if I'm in a lobby on discord or in game, i have to close and open my game again because my yeti blue mic was "disconnected" or controller is no longer connected. they are usually good for minor small games but if its intense it might only happen once. if I'm doing any sort of VR, it may last 5 minutes or it will last up to 3 hours before the USBs crash. when that does happen i have to unplug then re-plug my headset. see specs below; Asus Strix B450-F Ryzen 5 3600 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro running at 3200 MSI RADEON 5700 EVGA 650 GQ 80 plus bronze 860 evo 500 GB ssd 2.5 TB of spinning hard drives
  12. i was going to install a few different types of linux distros starting with steam OS and it didnt want anything to do with my GPU. so i just decided to fresh install windows, and that made a world of difference and now im actually able to overclock my hardware a lot better, thank you!
  13. I haven't thought about that yet, I'm gonna go home and try that, then Linux if I can't get that to work. Thanks!
  14. I have recently upgraded my GPU from the RX 590 to the RX 5700 and for some reason, i haven't gained any frames, Gmod only runs at 110 frames at the most, when with the RX 590 it went up to 200-300, GTA V runs at 30-45 FPS unless its set to low and then it hits 55-60 frames if im lucky, hitman 2 runs at 25-30 on both high and low settings. i am also running with 16 GB of RAM and my games are running off of an SSD not that that makes much of a difference in FPS. Portal 2 runs at 70 FPS with my RX 590 and 50 FPS with my RX 5700. I've closed most of my background apps that used it to the point i have 3-4 % background use and when gaming my CPU is only hitting 60-70 % usage in most games and my RX 5700 is running at 40-50%. neither the CPU or the RX5700 is overclocked, but my RX 590 was overclocked an extra 175 MHz. any ideas why?
  15. i have tried both, and it makes my system super unstable and mostly unusable.
