    good qustion, but before I answer that I would like to point that I would like to get 7 PCIe, if I get 7 I will be so happy. Of course the easiest answer would be "all of them should be x16" but as I don't think that will be possible here what cards we need to run: One PCI two PCLe x1 One PCLe x8 two PCIe x16 and an additional two PCIe x4 would be great we are talking about a 3u case, I think 7. We were using H97-PRO, but I could not find anything like it.

    Hi all, I have to build a computer for my lab at work. we need as many PCIe slots as we can get. The motherboard should fit in a 19 inch rack mount pc case. Also we would like to have two hard-drives to run it in a RAID configuration for data collection and an SSD drive for booting. And if you can suggest a case for the new computer too that will be great. For the CPU we need it to be fast, preferable not less than 4-cores, and what kind of RAM will be compatible with it. for now we don't require a GPU money is not a problem, go wild Thanks a lot.

    OMG I just found out about THINKPAD P53S and it is offered for 1050 usd, I think it is amazing, please let me know know what you thing it seems perfect !

    @genexis_x my old Inspiron was 4,6 pounds = 2.1 Kg so I would say that 2Kg is max for my next one

Thank you so much for replying @Saksham I heard that xps 15 is not that good, and I don't fancy that laptop, if that make sense. @genexis_x Thank you for your reply, for stores I have a friend from USA is visiting in November and I will ask him to get it for me so anything that will deliver to Chicago is good.for weight I would like it to be light and I would like the laptop to not be over the top when it comes to looks. For the battery anything above 6 hours is good for me. I have been think about surface laptop 3 for my use, I can keep using my old laptop for gaming and maybe thought the next years build a gaming PC. I also found out that I can get a student discount and get the 13.5", Black (metal), Intel Core i5, 8GB, 256GB for $1,169.10 instead of $1,299.00. I'm afraid that I'm making a bad decision just because I like how it looks. I have been thinking of Thinkpads but it seems very expensive. I also have been thinking about ASUS Zephyrus GA502 but I dont know about the fact that it is made of plastic and that the fans are loud and I would like to work in the library or in a coffee shop without people looking at me. can you guys tell me what you think? thank you for replying to me again, and sorry for my late reply I just though that no one will get back to me so I'm so happy with your replies all the best

    I would like to get a new laptop, and I was hoping for some advice to upgrade from a Dell Inspiron 14z (2010). My main usages are running Latex, coding with python, LabView, Mathematica, and playing some games mainly Dota2 and CV5, doing productivity work and watching series. I would like it light to be able to take it with me to university. My budget is 1300 euros, but I'm willing to go a couple of days without food to increase it a bit. I have been saving for 5 years to get a razer laptop, but as it has been reported to suddenly die and with there bad customer support I'm afraid of getting one. can you suggest some laptops for me to check?
