  1. As an AMD fanboy, I would say go with the 2700X, mate.
  2. Go into Event Viewer and look in the Warning, Critical and Error lists. There's a decent chance it'll show you what's happening.
  3. If you're going to be upgrading your CPU a few times, I'd go for a solid, reasonably high-end X470 board now. If X5** boards are released at some point, they won't have any features the X470's don't have. Nothing life changing, at least. Preferably, get an ASUS board.
  4. One should in the second RAM slot from your CPU socket. And the other stick goes in the last slot. Possible other issues: For some reason, the X370 boards don't have particularly amazing RAM compatibility. Did you check to make sure your RAM is? Long Shot: In Start Up/Boot options, you haven't somehow changed the amount of RAM your computer is allowed to use, have you!
  5. In Task Manager, mate, look how many start-up programs etc you've got enabled. Disable all the ones you don't need/want to start at boot.
  6. Next time it happens, note the precise time. When you get back in to your computer, start up Event Viewer and find out exactly what's happening. It'll likely be under Warning, Critical or Error in the Event Viewers logs. EDIT: Removed word 'approximate'.
  7. What's the best way to do a clean install, whilst leaving your personal files unaffected, mate? EDIT: I can't believe I just even said that, really. The entire point of a clean install IS removing everything, isn't it.
  8. When I bought my copy of Windows, I got the retail, boxed Windows 8.1 (this is before Windows 10 came out, of course). I then upgraded it Windows 10 when Microsoft had their free-to-update offer. This doesn't change anything, does it? All I gave to is ensure my Windows is digitally linked to my Microsoft account?
  9. So I've read that, after upgrading your motherboard, CPU and RAM, you turn on your computer and Windows 10 is still there just as it was before you changed your hardware. (As long as you ensure your Windows copy is digitally linked to your Microsoft account). May I ask if this is correct? Thank you.
  10. Are you sure you don't mean USB 3.0 Gen 1 is backwards compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 2, mate?
  11. So, I can't actually believe this. I'm getting the Asus Prime X470 Pro Mobo, and in the description it says it has USB 2.0 ports, which is pretty damn important seeing as my keyboard and mouse need USB 2.0. But looking at close-up pics of the board, I SEE NONE AT ALL. What on earth is going on? Could anyone who has used this board tell me, please, if it does have some USB 2.0's? Thank you.
  12. Just look at it, though. Amazing how someone with a consumer-grade camera can get such stunning, provocative footage of the Moon, and beat NASA's stuff.
  13. The P900's ability to see the Moon in extreme detail is really quite stunning, and actually smashes NASA's stuff. Raw footage of planets is far, far better than NASA stuff. It's so much more real and provocative. NASA always uses false colours and filters on their images etc. I really wish they would simply use their most powerful telescope and show us raw, totally untouched, close-up footage of all the planets.
  14. Not a role model as such, but Vlad Dracula, for brutally stopping the Muslim invasion of Europe in the 15th century.
  15. To check if your motherboard has Wifi, check Device Manager. Or just Google your mobo, of course. If not, get a USB Wifi adapter, which is simply a small black aerial that fits into any USB slot (use a rear one, though). They're not expensive. No need to bother with PCI Wifi cards etc. Kek be praised. EDIT: Little note: Said Wifi adapter will most likely use USB 2.0.
  16. What a vile way of looking at things. No offence. And yep, OP: The Miners really have turned gaming and computing to faeces, vomit and urine.
  17. Wait: You often have to go into your display properties and change it there. I once got a 75hz monitor, but it arrived set to 60hz. And I had to change it to 75 in display adapter properties.
  18. Use the Automatic Detect utility on AMD's site.
  19. The Flat Earth fools are absolutely serious. What's interesting (and irritating) to me is how tiny they think earth is. They actually think that the earth's curvature should be visible in their immediate vicinity.
  20. I wouldn't use them all together. It causes issues when you mix brands. But, if you have a side window on your case and aesthetics are a vital factor, use the Hyper X. The disadvantage with this, though, is that 8GB is not really enough for general power use anymore. If aesthetics are not an issue, use the 16GB Samsung.
  21. IPads and all other Apple products are designed for middle class Normies, primarily; but also for general Normies. They are designed to be safe and easy for the bumbling Normie. The IPad is basically the child-lock of the computer world, or a crèche. I really think we should all adopt the following motto: 'Apple, the best and only choice for Normies'.
  22. Did you use the detect utility on AMD's site? Use that, and it might work. You won't have the latest drivers, obviously, but it should give you the last drivers that were compatible with your card.
