  1. Hey everyone, I've had this issue with my computer happen for the second time now, I've found a way to fix it but was wondering if anyone knows why this happens? or why what I do fixes it? Pretty much what happens is this: Computer freezes - If I'm watching a video computer freezes but the audio will keep going, spacebar to pause video doesn't work, no response. I power computer off and upon powering it back on: Peripherals don't work - Monitors, keyboard and mouse have no display, lights, response. Holding power button down to turn off pc doesn't turn off pc, the power button lights just flicker on and off (restart button also is non-responsive) Unplug and replug - still nothing works, pc still "turns on" all lights in pc work (cpu cooler, ram, mobo, power button) Turning on the pc with only 1 Ram stick on 2nd slot doesn't fix issue Disconnecting GPU doesn't fix issue (It didn't this time I don't remember last time) What I've found fixes the issue: Disconnecting and reconnecting 3 of the closest power cables on PSU (not the MOBO cable) Resetting CMOS Battery Taking out GPU Leaving only 1 stick of Ram on 2nd slot When I turn the pc on after doing that, the peripherals work (no display cause no integrated graphics) Power button works also Then I put everything back and pc goes back to working normally Anyone know why this happens? Would love to know Thanks! 6. Is there a chance that the pcie cables of the psu are broken? cause everything is powered but the gpu, and the gpu definetively works
  7. Hi everyone. Recently I finished my first build, however the gpu doesnt turn on, all the other parts in the system are working but the gpu. Ive tried 2 of the three pcie slots on the mobo (Aorus pro elite) , neither worked. The gpu is a rx 5600 xt and it DOES work on another build and it gets display too, but not on mine idk why. Im guessing maybe the pcie cable from the psu is broken? Im hoping someone in the forum knows what the problem is. thnx Also I cant really try each individual part on the other build cause It is not in my house gpu: Sapphire pulse rx 5600 xt mobo: aorus pro elite psu: evga 600W non modular 80bronze cpu: ryzen 5 3600 ram:gskill neo z rbg 3600mhz

  10. Hi I was wondering If any of you guys knew how to take the front panel of the Silverstone PM02 chassis off? Ive looked on yt and nobody shows how to and there don't seem to be any screws visible to take it off. Im preety sure it is possible as they showscase it like so on their website Id like to take the front panel off to replace the stock front fans and take out the front dust filters. Thanks
  11. Thank you all so much for the help, I really appreciate. You helped me put my build together and find solutions to my problems. although I found out that my gpu was defective hardware and I need to RMA it. My first build has definetely been an experience and I thank you all again for the help. All the best!
  12. @Smit Devrukhkar No old system do you want some pictures? or should I just connect it to the monitor see if it works?

  15. Hi all I've finished building my first pc, when I turn It on everything works but the gpu. The fans are not spinning and the sapphire logo isnt lighting up. I have not yet connected it to my monitor as I don't know which port to plug the hdmi cable into (the one on the gpu not working or the one on the mobo?). I am wondering If this is a one time thing and need to go into the BIOS in order for it to work or if my psu is default set to a lower wattage and also need to change that in the BIOS OR if my gpu is broken and I need to RMA. Ive tried the top pcie and it didnt work, it is currently on the middle one. The GPU is a Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT pls help Thank you
  16. OMG THANK YOU. I have been worrying myself to death and wondering what I did wrong or if I had broken something but it was all because one power connector that I fitted wrong yesterday and thanks to you guys I connected it correctly. IT WORKS OMG XD
  17. wait so I need to have the front panel connectors fron the chasis connected for the system to work, even if im doing it outside of the chasis?
  18. Ive resorted to building the system outside of my case, I have already tried is inside the case with everything plugged in and it didnt work
  19. Hi all Ive build my first rig yesterday, didnt work so I started testing. Thanks to the people in this forum I have narrowed down the problem to: The mobo, the cpu and the psu When I test the psu with the paper clip method the fan of the power supply works perfectly, and the power supply itself seems to be working. When I connect the power supply to the motherboard and turn it on the power supply fan does NOT spin and the psu does not seem to be working. What happens next is that the motherboard rgb flashes for half a second , then the ram does the same. then when I turn OFF the system the ram turns off for 5 second before turning off completely. Ive tested the full system inside the case, outside the case, Ive also tested with only the cpu and ram and it does the same thing. Ive also tested it with only the motherboard and cpu. What I don't understand is how when I test the power supply it works fine but when I connect it to the motherboard and turn it on its not on and the fan is not spinning. Also when the system is "ON" none of the fans are working, the gpu is not working, the cpu cooler is not working. I have NOT plugged this into a monitor since it hasn't been able to boot yet. Video of issue (may need rewatching to see the flashing lights at the start as the video is quite short) VID-20201018-WA0004.mp4
