  1. After I activate xmp the first time yes, but once I turn off my PC, and turn it on again it goes back to 1060
  2. I have been having the same problem with my 5700, as i look at your build I would say that your PSU is a little low, I know that 600-700 is the recommended from AMD in the quick start guide. But I have been seeing people online saying 500 is enough. But if it isn't the power supply I would say it is most likely the drivers
  3. I don't have the time right now to check every part of the pc that you are about to buy, but I find that PC Part Picker https://pcpartpicker.com/ Is a very good place to check comparability of components. Also normally you want 1-2 fans in the front and 1 in the back. Hope this helped!
  4. It completely matters on how much he wants to upgrade, if he wants to go with newer hardware the 2000 ryzens are really cheep rn, but that would require a ram and motherboard upgrade if I am correct.I wouldn't recommend staying on the am3 socket based off the very small amount of processors that he can upgrade to. It all matters on his budget.
  5. Have him check and see which is being used at 100% while playing games, if the cpu is being used at 100% then it is the cpu. If the gpu is at 100% then the gpu is the limiting factor, just looking at the specs it seems like the cpu should be the bottle neck. You can use something like MSI afterburner to see during the game if it is happening. Linus has some videos on this and should explain it better than I do.
  6. So when I enable xmp in my bios, it seems to work after I save and reset. But once I turn off my computer and come back it just reverts back to non xmp numbers. I use CPUZ to check my numbers once I get to the desktop. Anyone got any ideas? Currently running the r5 3600, rx 5700, Corsair Vengeance 3200, and an Aourus Elite X570. All is updated to last bios. Any help would be appreciated!
