Powe4 consumption isn't an issue and I've got it running as a nas/folder in a Walla mounted case though it's not wall mounted just yet. I intend to mount both my Asus tuf armoured mobos on the wall above my tripple screen setup. Which the a 2060 fe pulls 60 fps in most everything at 7680x1080.

Patriot Memory PV38G213C1K (8 GB, DDR3 RAM, 2133 MHz) I got 2 8gb kits from a friend. what's the latest compatible Intel chipset I haven't followed Intel since the ryzen hype. But I figure id build a rig using a Asus tuff armoured mobo if there's one available.

OHH see i have annoyances with using windows as a nas. and given the i could stick in 8 2tb hdds use 2 of them as 2 personal drives only i can access. i think linux maybe the best option. tho i bought a 16gb patriot viper 2133mhz PV38G213C1K kit from a friend and they work awesomely. i just want to find a cheap 3770k and i decided to use a 2nd hand r9 380 msi card since i can sell the 1070 buy a another 2 matching 380s and let one of those run the fold. and ive set up my old intel dq77mk board with a 3245 i3 and the 1050 folding right now with the windows version. since i want to show make it look black af n the case with just the black and gold fans and such i decided ima paint the msi gaming cowling on the cards matt black and use a golden msi decal on the sides and one on the top cards backplate.

sounds good, recomended linux distro? i prefer a kde style desktop. also what is the fold software. since its a pretty good thing is there any dedicated place to keep up to scratch and read up on this. i see cryptomining as toxic capitalism. where as folding sounds good foeveryone.

if i can seperate my 1070 from the folding program thats a sealed deal.

well is there a way of controlling what gpu it uses as the psu i have will power 3 gpus and if i fold on the 1050ti i want to be able to use my 1070 for someone else to game with me as my mrs is stuck using a craptop and i do have a 3770k somehwere in here and a hyper 212evo. i will stick a pcie m.2 card in the 3rd pcie slot. and maybe nas all ym old 1tb hdds since she can use linux for the games we'll play together on steam. so 8tb nas/ folding pc or the latter and linux steam gaming pc too.

hmm, and doesnt stress the card too much like crypto, i have a 1050ti strix card doing nothing i can put inside it.

I dug out my z77 sabertooth today and thought what can i do with it. I'd like to show it off since no board has ever looked as good to me and I really wanna clean it up and put it to use. I was going to hackintosh it again which is why it has a i3 3x45 chip due to it using hd4000igpu but I honestly don't mind dropping 300 pounds into making it a beast. i'd love to repurpose the armour even if I had to hot glue it over a midrange intel board that it would fit on nicely. I could use chipset fans by using a splitter to a fan header. Anyone else have a suggestion? this would include full rez avi of gameplay and 3d max on 3x 2560x1080 monitors right? case a 9 min vid was around 15gb the otherday of skyrim.

im stuck with a ab350m pro4 if i use 4 sata i lose the m.2 sata if i use nvme n m.2 i dont need any of my crappy sata drives tho i do have 2x 1tb crucial ssds on 0 and 1 full of my games and media. 2 usb3 drives one being wd 2tb and 1tb seagate full of games and my disc backups. since physical media is becoming hard to find. and i figured both slots are currently unused and could be utilised and 500gb is the lowest capacity i use.

I still have no clue what nvme drives are good or m.2 tbh and I want both a ssd and nvme ssd. Capacity for both 500gb since games will be on m.2 ssd and nvme will boot windows 10 and boot up applications perhaps my emulators too.

yeah. they've been terrible lateley. i ended up raging. they sent me a r5 2400 3 times before sending me my 2600x max. m thinkin of selling my rtx 2060 and getting a 1080ti or 2070 super.

what can drive 3x 25um58g @2560x1080 @75HZ in surround/eyefinity? i can afford a new old stock 1080ti on wednesday. so im thinking of grabbing one and selling the rtx 2060 or keeping it and shoving it in the 3950x build. still waiting on the mobo to arrive from japan my cousin has sent over.

no chance in hell dude, thats mega overkill for what i will ever use this thing for. for one im if its ryzen im using my spare a320m board since overclocking is not being done. and i only using 2x 4gb basic ram without spreaders the inside of this thing wont be seen ever. i only buy from amazon uk or local cex stores slough/windsor. only needed a recomendaton of a cpu with a good enough igpu to play these games at their mid or high settings. for 60fps ill be at 1080p for both. and i keep shadows to a minimum.

well my main rig is a is using a 2600x and a rtx 2060. this one is for taking to my cousins for us to play wow and runescape 3 together. since its only a 20-30 minute walk the smaller physically i can build this slim pc the better.

so i havent messed with intergrated graphics since ivy bridge. i want to build a itx or very slimline matx pc to play 2 games and maybe oldies too. so primarly world of warcraft and runescape 3 on medium or high if plausable. on setting preset 5 is what im aiming to do as the screen i intend to use will be 15" portable screen has a passthough for the psu power cable.
