Would ZInstall work?
-
I am trying to move my SSD & HDD with Win 7 (installed on SSD). Unfortunately the Z390 Chipset apparently does not support Win 7 USB. So I have No Mouse or Keyboard. (M&K work fine in BIOS and Win 10 install media). I want to upgrade Win 7 to 10 but I can't do anything inside windows. (Without doing a fresh install, if it can be avoided) I would use my old system but I think I bent a CPU pin (Intel) and it won't boot. So I would like to know if I can put my hard drive in a compatible PC, Upgrade, then put in my PC??? If I can, please explain any steps I should take. Thank you for your Input and Time.

I will be upgrading to 10 when I upgrade my PC hardware (MB, CPU, Ram, GPU) I dont have enough storage space to upgrade to 10 right now. I will be getting an M.2 since I am getting a new MB, and I don't want to spend the extra money on another SSD since I am already planning on an M.2 cause my new MB will supporting M.2

So should I just change my Desktop Resolution to what I want for my Gaming Resolution before I play any game??
-
I am running Win 7 and it has bad Scaling on my 65in 4k tv. That's why I run it in 1080. Also, I will more then likely run it in 1440p I was just curious about desktop vs gaming resolution.

i am wondering that if i set my Desktop Resolution to 1080p (on a 4k TV) can i set my Gaming Resolution to 4k and it work like it suppose to.... Please and Thank You for your help

I need to clean my PC but am not sure if I should spend the money on a set of "Anti-Static" brushes. I have seen Linus use a paint brush in his clean a PC video but not sure what kind it was. I have seen several different results (on LTT Forum) that say to use Nylon and several saying NOT to, but to use a "Pure Bristle" brush (whatever that is). I will be using compressed air so no need to say "Use Air" I got that covered. The brushes are for the deep cleaning I need to do. If anyone knows which on to use, Nylon or another type (please say every day paint brush or Oil paint brush ect...) or if I should spend the money on an "Anti-Static" I would really appreciate it. Thanks In Advance.

I am really hesitant about doing a fresh install cause of my games (Games are installed on D drive). I'm afraid that I would have to reinstall all of them again. That's my biggest concern since I don't have the packages anymore with product keys. I guess I should be asking, would a fresh install cause that problem? The items on my C drive like chrome and iTunes are easy to replace. I have already set up "My Library" (Doc, Vids, Pix, Music) defaults to my D drive. All my Games and any programs that let me choose where to install have all gone on to my D drive. If I made a backup of my C drive and did a fresh install of Win 10 (upgrading from Win 7) would it restore all of the files back so I would not have to reinstall anything on my D drive? Or would a restore only work on the same version of Windows it was backed up on?

I am going to be upgrading my PC soon and had a few questions. 1) Is it possible to have my C Drive locked so that it is only a boot drive and nothing except windows updates is saved on it? 2) Is there a way to upgrade to Win 10 Pro (From Win 7 Pro) and after install go into C drive and remove the old OS? 3) Is there a way to upgrade to Win 10 Pro (From Win 7 Pro) without losing any data or reinstalling my Programs (Installed on D Drive)? Thanks in advance. *will a system backup on windows 7 and restored on windows 10 make all my games and such on my D drive work as of all I did was just an upgrade and not a fresh install??*

I am going to be upgrading my PC soon and was wondering if it is possible or even worth the time to Overclock a Gigabyte Windforce OC RTX 2080 Super. I have tried to find a Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2080 Super but to no avail. I do not want to get the 2080 Super reference card. I prefer 3rd party GPU. If it is worth Overclocking the card any advice on how to do it safely would be appreciated also. I have looked online but all I can find is information on overclocking the Gigabyte Gaming OC version. Any information, advice, and/or tips would be greatly appreciated. *I am a complete NOOB to overclocking. Please consider this when replying. My brain and PC both Thank You * Thank you all in advance.

I am going to be upgrading my PC in a few months. I would like to have all my original Storage (OS, Apps, & Games) to still work. With needing to only download the new drivers. I am going to upgrade my (Motherboard, CPU, RAM, & GPU). Is what I want to do possible or will I have to start from scratch with my OS, Apps, & Games? Is there a way to make it work at all? Could I transfer the data over? Any help and/or advice will be hugely appreciated and graciously accepted. **New Question... can I use system backup/restore to move all data to new PC??**
