LG PF1000U Ultra Short Throw Projector Giveaway
ShnizleGhost replied to CPotter's topic in LTT Releases
I have been working on a home theatre and shopping for projectors. The feature that excites me the most is how close it can be to the wall, less likely of something causing massive shadows. -
Everyone should have an SSD due to the performance increase with reads/writes but also becuase they are becoming so cheap now a days. I currently have a 120GB SSD (OCZ Agility III) which is great for Windows and some applications. I would love to have this to install games on... like GTA V. GTA V takes so long to load on a mechanical drive. Thank you to Apacer for this give away!

I'm trying to use my laptop as a streaming machine lol -
I'm looking for a way to take my GPU's output to my laptop's display. I assume it will be some sort of capture device but I'm not certain. Thanks for any ideas or help

I really like the fact that it fits well in a living room envrionment and is easy to take on trips! Where a traditional PC is big and bulky.

SLI with different VRAM Configurations

I keep running into this. I have tried 2 SLI bridges and both do the same thing. My PC won't recognize it. -
SLI with different VRAM Configurations
ShnizleGhost replied to ShnizleGhost's topic in Troubleshooting
So it is not possible? I hope it is... -
Hey All! I have two 660 Ti's, one 2GB and another with 3GBs of VRAM. Rest of the PC: Corsair CX750 750W Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H i5-3570K (4.5GHz OC) 8GB of RAM I have heard everywhere that running two of the same GPU's in SLI is possible, even if they run at different memory frequencies and have different VRAM amounts. Now I have called Nvidia, they told me that if they have different VRAM amounts, its a no go from the get go. It just will NOT work. First off, if you have this type of config. working, please tell me. Also how do I do it if it is possible! I have both cards plugged in, with a SLI bridge attached. I messed around in BIOS to no avail. Thank you!

Not huge into chromebooks. I am a big fan of Windows. The surface is a good idea, but I like something with a solid keyboard. I have a surface at my workplace and the keyboard experience is ok, but nothing I would pay that much for. $400 isn't bad for that laptop, and I don't mind refurbished. I have been looking at the HP Stream 11, I'm looking into different reviews, and even though it only has 2GB of RAM it may do just fine. I tried it at Walmart, the typing experience isn't bad for $200. I'm also used to being connected via 4G LTE, but laptops with those antennas are expensive.

I don't have a budget at the moment. I am just looking to see what I need and to see if it is worht it. @Sauron I'm actually using a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro right now and I LOVE the keyboard. Holy cows. Also they don't sell that model anymore lol. I did take a look at the x250 I think. But I think $950 is a little too much for what I want. I already have a Gigabyte P37, but it sometimes is a little too bulky. The iPad has iOS which hinders it for actual work. But I love the size of the iPad. Maybe the thing I'm looking for doesn't exist yet.

Hey, I am looking for a smaller Widnows laptop to replace my iPad. I was looking for an 11" device, that is fast, has a well built keyboard, and more than 2GB of RAM. Most of the ones I'm finding are capped at 2GB of RAM and that won't work. Also another issue is the CPU is a low power, battery sipping CPU. I'm looking to mostly web browser with 5 to 10 tabs open along with a stream running. Light weight gaming, minecraft, league of legends, 2d puzzle platformers and what not. Tech specs I'm looking for is ac wifi, 720p display is acceptable, front facing camera of some description, good amount of I/O and 64GB (preferably more than) of internal storage. Thanks for the advice in advanced! Any ideas will help greatly.
