  1. I entered my data in the form earlier today, but I don't see my info in that list, how do I know if I am on the list or not? Edit: Nvm, I found myself
  2. Why would you get a Vega 56 when the 5700 and 5700 xt are newer and better?
  3. You are right. I found a link to someone's review of it, but yeah I can't find it anywhere https://lanoc.org/review/cases/7352-rosewill-cullinan-gaming-case?showall=1
  4. I thought that at first, but the front io doesn't match, and it doesn't have the cutouts above the motherboard cutout on the back
  5. Hey Y'all, I recently got a rosewill case as part of a bundle of used parts and I can't figure out which case it is. I looked on Newegg, Amazon, and even Rosewill's site and couldn't find a case that exactly matched this one. It looks the most like the Rosewill Cullinan MX, but it is a little larger in all aspects. Thanks Y'all!
  6. A couple thoughts, to get the best of deals I would definitely start watching TechDeal's channel and maybe follow his twitter, he keeps his eye out for deals and tweets them out as he sees them. If you don't want/need ray-tracing I would consider getting a 5700xt. It will get you more fps for about the same price. Another thought, if you want to keep your cpu for around 5 years I would look into getting either the 3700x, or the 2700/2700x. I think that in the future games will likely continue to use more and more cores and threads, so an 8 core 16 thread cpu will likely last you longer than a 6 core 12 thread cpu.
  7. These two both have really good reviews, and if you need wifi the Crosshair VII also has a WiFI version for 270$ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/23gzK8/asus-rog-crosshair-vii-hero-atx-am4-motherboard-crosshair-vii-hero https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jXJtt6/asus-rog-strix-x470-f-gaming-atx-am4-motherboard-strix-x470-f-gaming
  8. If you can afford it you can do it. But as someone else pointed out to me, for the same price as you are paying for a mid level x570 board you can get a top level x470 board. Plus AM4 is only supported until next year, so you wouldn't be able to upgrade past the 4700x without changing your mobo anyways. And honestly as far as I can tell if you really wanted to upgrade to the 4700x next year a top line x470 board would probably be able to run it. And again, if you are planning on upgrading in 3-4 years you will need to get a new motherboard with your new CPU because by then the AM4 socket will be replaced by the AM5 socket (or whatever they call it then).
  9. Another thought, if you are getting the 2700x you don't need a x570 board. Get a x470 board and you will get more features for the same price.
  10. If you get a b450 tomahawk max they are ryzen 3rd gen ready, so you woudn't have to do a bios update

  14. @Streetguru I just picked them because the mouse has the custom keys on the left side and the keyboard has macro keys, but I don't have a preference on the exact brand of keyboard and mouse so if you know of better ones I will happily listen. @Jurrunio Yeah, honestly it is more because I have always kinda preferred ASUS boards, I like the look of the board and it has pcie 4.0 support so if I get something in the future that uses that I will already have a mobo that works with it, that said I understand that future proofing is stupid, would you suggest the gigabyte aorus elite as a good x570 mobo? Also, does the gigabyte aorus elite have bluetooth support? What CPU would y'all suggest? the 3700x?
  15. Hey Y'all, I am building my first pc in 10 years (My budget is around 2000$, but if I really want to I can keep saving about 250$ per month and get a more expensive build if that would actually be worth it), and after getting advice from a friend, advice from this forum, and doing a lot of personal research I ended up with this build planned (This build will be for gaming and my work as a web developer), PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $194.79 @ OutletPC Motherboard Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard $324.39 @ OutletPC Memory OLOy WarHawk RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Purchased For $139.41 Storage Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive Purchased For $91.15 Video Card PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Red Devil Video Card Case Deepcool MATREXX 50 ATX Mid Tower Case Purchased For $64.34 Power Supply Corsair RMx (2018) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $119.98 @ Newegg Monitor Dell S2719DGF 27.0" 2560x1440 155 Hz Monitor Purchased For $289.56 Monitor AOC 24V2H 23.8" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor Purchased For $129.77 Monitor AOC 24V2H 23.8" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor $119.99 @ B&H Keyboard Alienware AW768 Wired Gaming Keyboard $79.99 @ Best Buy Mouse Redragon Perdition Wired Laser Mouse $25.49 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1618.86 Mail-in rebates -$40.00 Total $1578.86 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-09-11 14:47 EDT-0400 I have already started buying some parts as they go on sale, and I am planning on finishing this build by around black friday/christmas. What do y'all think of the build and do you have any suggestions for it? Some notes, I know I could get a b450 mobo for much cheaper, but honestly I don't want to have to deal with a bios flash, and I know that the ASUS TUF x570 exists and is 130$ cheaper than the strix x570-e that I am thinking of getting but when looking through the reviews it seemed like the x570-e has better built in wifi, and I really like the look of it. That said I am open to other mobo suggestions.
  16. @Suika So i guess the question is does he record gameplay
  17. @Energy151 Why are you doing a 2060 super instead of a 5700 xt?
  18. Question Y'all, I have been saving up (around 250$ a month) to buy this computer (for gaming and work, with a budget of around 2k) PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $193.89 @ OutletPC Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard $114.89 @ OutletPC Memory OLOy WarHawk RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Purchased For $139.41 Storage Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive Purchased For $91.15 Video Card Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB PULSE Video Card Case Corsair SPEC-DELTA RGB ATX Mid Tower Case $89.99 @ Best Buy Power Supply Corsair RMx (2018) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $87.99 @ Amazon Monitor Dell S2719DGF 27.0" 2560x1440 155 Hz Monitor $269.99 @ Newegg Monitor AOC 24V2H 23.8" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor Purchased For $129.77 Monitor AOC 24V2H 23.8" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor $121.00 @ Walmart Keyboard Alienware AW768 Wired Gaming Keyboard $84.75 @ Walmart Mouse Redragon Perdition Wired Laser Mouse $29.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1372.82 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $1352.82 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-31 18:48 EDT-0400 and I should be able to buy it by Cyber Monday/Christmas, however I was just talking with my wife and I can continue saving up past Christmas if I want to buy better parts. Would it be worth it to save up for a couple extra months and get like a 2080 super and maybe a better cpu and a cooler for it, or is that parts list I referenced good enough that the upgrade wouldn't be significantly better for the extra cost?
  19. @LukeSavenije Do I not need a cooler for this setup? (I really don't know exactly what I do or don't need, I am just starting to learn this stuff) Also, is the sales price of the ram better than it might be on a day like Cyber Monday? (I am planning on buying most of the components for my computer when they are on sale as much as possible, which I figured would be Cyber Monday, but if there are sales before then that are better than you would get on Cyber Monday then I would like to jump on them now)
  20. Question @LukeSavenije, I was reading your Build guide recommendations megathread, and saw your 1500$ US example computer. I am saving up for a very similar priced computer, and was wondering if you could give your thoughts on the difference between the computer you designed, and a computer a friend of mine designed for me. I know next to nothing about how the differences between the two would affect them and would love the opinions of someone who is more knowlegdable. 21. Question @1000donny, how do I know when a sale is actually a good deal? I haven't bought computer parts in years and have no idea what is a sale to jump on, and what is a sale that will come around frequently.
  22. If I don't get the Hyper 212 Evo will I still be able to overclock? (admittedly I don't know if I would even need to overclock)
