I went to asus website downloaded LAN. Still nothing. Also tried installing an older driver. Still error

So couple days ago I built my first gaming PC. Everything works great but the Ethernet. 1 My WiFi works so there go, not my internet. 2 Ethernet cable works on my laptop so not a cable issue. 3 All windows updates and drivers are up to date 4 Under device manager “this card cannot start” code 10. Ive google and YouTube this error but nothing seems to work. Thoughts?
