  1. Just wondering who else has taken a power supply to the awful limits, causing BSOD, or crashes? I have done this quite a few times.. if this picks up i will post up some photos. Currently i have a 7980XE overclocked, with a 2080 Overclocked. Powered by a Corsair 860i.. Yep.. pretty close to the limits! Water cooled, NVME drive, 7 fans. Fun
  2. I am more pointing out the fact, intel is screwing customers publically in fear of AMD ryzen. I have a daily runner, 5.1Ghz all core, avx0, 290vcore, delided 9900k . I purchased two cpu's to test my theory. Both barely hit 5ghz. Now my original cpu from months ago. Will hit 5.3Ghz without issue. Kinda pisses me off that intel is going to crap on there own product to win a pissing match, screwing customers in the run. Thanks for the replies!
  3. DEFIANTLY go with the AMD! You will be very happy with the outcome. I would do the research on the board VRM's to see which board offers the best VRM.
  4. I agree with these Guys. If you have no plans to overclock, WHY pay for the K? You can save a large chunk of money! Put it towards a better video card. I have seen the 9900 selling on amazon for $400-430 Also. If you do not do any content creation, honestly. I would go with the 9700. Same cpu without HT. you will see identical gaming performance and only pay $330 for the 9700. And that is only if you must stick with intel. I would love to see more people open up to AMD. They deserve it
  5. I agree.. . Actually I incorrectly depicted the meaning of that sentence, and i did just rephrase it for better words .
  6. During the manufacturing process. they loose a massive percentage of the silicone wafer. My entire point.. is any chance of getting a silicone lottery on the 9900K is Now GONE. because of the 9900KS. basically, you pay a premium, for the top performers. Even though, i do believe the only 9900K i have heard of not hitting 5Ghz, was Romans Early access 9900k. They are probably binning chips that hit 5.4, 5Ghz stable.
  7. I am sure, regardless the plan is going to be run a higher vcore, and up the cores to a max of 5Ghz. However, i am sure they are still going to be binning these chips, leaving 0 chance for silicone lottery. Kind of what AMD is doing with the 3800X, Binning the 3700X to get the 3800x. Leaving a smaller chance for silicone lottery. I have had a 9900k hit 5.3 on open loop. But that was my original chip from launch. my recent purchase of a 9900k last week, for a test bench barely hits 5.1 without good cooling. Has anyone recently purchased a 9900K chip? how are your thermals? Also, Just the thought of the silicone lottery, completely disappearing would be really sad. in other words, they are charging a premium for the silicone lottery. and calling the KS. Whatever, take my money,
  8. Let's face it. Cable "PORTS" Wear out, some severely quick. After a few month's of use, every phones charging port gets "Loose" and beat up from plugging it in and out too much. Wireless charging is just Convenient. Say for example, your about to lay down to sleep. set your phone down, and that's it. 1.2.3. Quick and easy.
  9. From what I have gathered directly from intel, they are binning the 9900K to re brand these. Leaving 0 chance for a 9900K purchaser to hit the silicone lottery. This, i do agree with. Price to performance.
  10. So, how do you guy's feel about intel, releasing Binned versions of the 9900K? I feel it could be good for better binned chips.. At the same time, i believe it completely screws anyone that is in the market for a regular 9900K. Because clearly if the chip performs well AT ALL, Intel is going to bin that chip with a Freaking S, and more than likely up charge the cost! (9900KS). This will completely remove the opportunity for an enthusiast to receive a "GREAT" Chip from intel, because intel is clearly taking every performer and relabeling them another chip! It's good and bad. If the price point is the same as the current 9900K. well then it would be good. However, if the up charge this as a high costing premium. Anyone in the market for a 9900K, completely gets screwed on the silicon lottery chance of getting a good chip. Well, that's my 2 nickels worth. Thanks Guys!
  11. ahh even if the wish list does not come with a screen shot, a simple "WIsh list" typed out works just as good! Thanks for chippin in, 2016 I was still using my Haswell overclocked! Loved that CPU, infact, my haswell still runs like a chamP!! 4770k
  12. WISH LIST: PRESARIO S6000CL COMPLETE UPGRADE It was a HUGE DEAL upgrading from the XP to the 64! Back in the day, this was a massive upgrade. You guys have no idea how excited i was to have the Athlon 64 from the Athlon XP! Anyone remember overclocking These? :225x8" "212x8.5". Anyways, here is my wish list. 1.) BLUE LED Case fan. 2. DX9 128MB Graphics card! 3.) A super fast 80 gig 7k HDD 4.) 2x512MB DDR 333 RAM 5.) 24bit audio box I don't know about you guys, but this floods my mind with good memory! Installing Custom Linux setups, using Gentoo Linux, with a brand new REiser4 filesystem. -Jordan
  13. I am wondering if there is any type of benefit 'what so ever', For anyone Ordering the 9900KF Intel chip(Disabled APU) Over the Flagship 9900k CPU. Are these chips binned, and then intel takes all of these failed APU chips, and relabels them KF? Simply disabling the APU to get rid of OLD "Broken" stock, and a marketing trick at that? Or do these chips really have better silicone, offer better overclocking, and all around offer enthusiasts a better deal? Why else would be pay the same price for a "Half" a chip? ( Yes i am aware of the discounts bringing the chip a little bit cheaper than the K model). One thing that really makes me wonder if this is a better quality chip, is the way intel has priced the chip at launch. They priced it THE SAME as the 9900K without the freaking APU! That is ridiculous. So if this chip does indeed have better quality silicone, offering possible higher frequencies. That would be notable. On the other hand, if intel just disabled, misfit binned chips that failed, and are selling them at the same price point.. that is just sad. Now i must say, new egg is offering a deal where the chip is $99 Cheaper the the K version. So at this point, is it worth it? I know Intel has fixed the original 9900k P0 stepping, and replaced it with the R0 stepping. So anyone with an Intel chip 9900k R0, will have better overclock ability in theory Anyways. This is something i would love to prove or disprove. I want to point out, there is an article on toms hardware, from a claimed "Overclocker" stating the 9900KF chips indeed are binned to a better quality. Food for thought,. Does anyone have any information on these two chips 9900K Vs 9900KF? If so, please add to! I would love to learn more about this if anyone has the intel? "Get it, intel?" Jordan
