  1. Ah okay. Is there any other way to find a serial number? I managed to use one stick and went into the bios but Adata said the serial number isn't valid
  2. Hi guys, I think I have faulty XPG Adata ram, when I put it into the computer I get several beeps and nothing comes up. When I plug other ram in it works fine. I am trying to get the serial number so I can find out if it's still under warranty. Where do I find the serial number? I have looked on the ram and on heat sink but not there. I feel like I shouldn't have to remove the heat sink to find the serial number?
  3. I assume the way I have it now is the correct way with a heatsink. But it only came with one size. The issue i found was trying to secure it when the plastic won't go into the m.2 as you screw it turns left but I needed to push the plastic right for it to securely mount.
  4. What a pain. I am building this for my dad and he was like might as well pay the extra and get the heatsink. Kinda forgot that the mobo would have it. Next m.2 definitely won't have one. Why do the bother making one with a heatsink if most mobos have them. thank you
  5. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B760-TOMAHAWK-WIFI/Specification I managed to wedge the small plastic bit on the screw into the right side of the m.2 and its holding.
  6. There is no other small screw included on the mob. I assume all the other m.2 slots will use the same screw
  7. No idea lol. If i remove the samsung ssd heatsink i basically just spent the extra on nothing lol
  8. The screw is small and the plastic on it would be fine with a ssd without a heatsink but with a heatsink it can't get into to secure it. There are no other screws that are large enough
  9. Yeah that was I was thinking but the screw doesn't fit because of the ssd heatsink so I can't properly mount the ssd
  10. Hey guys, I am building a pc, but when I am trying to install the m.2 SSD the screw that came with the movie won't fit. I got a Samsung m.2 with included heat sink but when trying to install on the mobo the screw that came with the mobo won't allow me to mount the ssd. Then because of the size it won't let me put the mobo heat sink back on. What can I do lol
  11. Thanks, he is looking for a new PC just cause of warranties and should last longer. I will go 32GB memory, your right 64GB is overkill. I am getting a better processor as he has like a trillion tabs open with 100 programs running.
  12. Thanks for the list. Your right it probably is a little overkill. I like the build you have. The only issue is does the addional 8 pin EPS matter? Or do I upgrade the power supply? Compared to the one I built it's only saving $300 which I thought was not a lot considering.
  13. Budget (including currency): any Country: New Zealand I am building a PC for my dad who is mainly gonna be using it for backups and general use. He wanted to go a little over kill as he does do some applications which require more memory and CPU. He need's a bit of space so I have speced out more storage slots for down the road. This is what I have done on PC Part Picker. What do you guys think? https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/Htbxt7 I have a spare GPU which is why I didn't include one in the build Thanks,
  14. Hi, I have Bluetooth dongle that I got from AliExpress. When I plug it into my computer it detects the dongle and installs the drivers. When I connect my headphones it connects fine, but then trying to change the volume of the headphones or changing the audio output to headset freezes the dialogue box and only unfreezes when the usb is removed. I have uninstalled all the drivers and reinstalled. Tried different headphones and usb port and nothing. I assume the dongle is broken. Please let me know what you think is wrong and if there is anything I can do. Thanks
