  1. You're going to have to give more information, such as what games you're playing. That being said, I'd say that it's highly unlikely the 4690K is bottlenecking. GPUs these days are holding back higher framerates. Awesome thanks for the fast replies!
  2. Hey guys, i was wondering if the Intel i5 4690k would bottleneck 2 reference gtx 980's in sli. Im using the Msi Mpower motherboard (Not the max one). Please try to explain in simple terms because i struggle to understand how pci lanes works. Thanks!!!!
  3. Hey guys, my mate wants to get into PC gaming but doesnt have that much to spend. could someone please build a $750 rig (No peripherals or moniter) on pcpartpicker.com. thank you so much :)
  4. Hey guys, im planning on buying the EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked ACX 2GB and i was watching tek syndicates video on how he painted it. Personally i really hate the gold accent sticker things and was wondering if its possible to paint them, say... matte black. If this is possible how and what should i use?!?!?!?!
  5. later on would it be a good idea to buy a second EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Dual SC 2GB Graphics card and run it sli. would that make much of a difference?
  6. hey thanks for that, the EVGA 780 i cant find on pccasegear, the website im planning on buying this from. my budget is around $1500 all up. oh and im in australia

  8. Hello! I'm just about to take the leap from my crappy old Xbox 360 to a what I feel is a "high end" gaming computer. To save money i have decided to build the PC instead of getting it pre constructed by companies such as IronSide.com but am having issues deciding on the right parts for me, i have a budget of around $1500 and really cant afford any more due to my silly job at McDonalds! I want the PC to be powerful enough to run most high end games such as BF4 and TitanFall on high setting without sacrificing FPS as well as playing games such as Feed The Beast, Minecraft, Rust and DayZ very fluently with no drops in Fps. One of my main goals with this build is to keep it looking good so my friends can kneel down beneath it when they see it standing proud on my $20 desk, so cable management is a must, hence the modular power supply. These are the parts i have chosen so far: -Corsair obsidian 750D case -Samsung 840 Evo series 120GB SSD -EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Dual SC 2GB Graphics card -Corsair CX-750 Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply -Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY8GX3M2A2133C11R 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 RAM -Intel Core i5 4670k CPU -Western Digital WD Green 2TB WD20EZRX Hard drive - Asus Z87-C Motherboard I plan on using the stock heat sink that comes with the Intel Core i5 4670k CPU for the time being until i get some extra cash together to buy either a Corsair H100i or a custom water loop. Is there anything in this build that will bottle neck the system? and is there any place i could save money without sacrificing value? oh and i almost forgot, i want to keep the build Intel and GeForce based so no Amd! Thanks!
