  1. The 75 c is only if i use Cinebench R20 all other benchmarks prime95 and Mark etc. the cpu does not hit over 67 c. I have an Noctua DH15 I think its some kind of failure reading...because the asus software shows munch lower temps then MSI Afterburner or HSW Monitor...really dont know why it hits 75 c on cinebench but really i do not care munch because i use it mostly for rendering and gaming and there i have no problems at all and 75 c is still okay.
  2. Well an Ryzen 2700 is an overkill for an RX580 too...whats your point? Its mostly not an bad idea to get an better CPU and an Mainboard and upgrade later the GPU you dont have to get an new mainboard for an new GPU you just plug it in...
  3. I nit picking (dont know what that means im not an native english speaker) because you are giving bad advise to someone who doesnt know better. If you advise someone to upgrade from an RX570 to an RX580 its just bad advise. Like you said "Trust me the feeling is amazing" what feeling is that?...dont get it. So if you dont know your stuff you shouldnt give advise to someone who trust this platform and goes with his own money buying stuff because of your advise. Btw. The VRAM if more an 4 GB on the graphics card is mostly imported for gaming on higher resolutions so for an full HD Monitor or his 720p Monitor your GPU upgrade is mostly useless. This is one of my main complains about those ATI Cards they get 8 GB VRAM but they really cant handle high resolutions above 1080 p. And yes @Topic your CPU is the limiting factor in your Build. Get an new one with an board my advise: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $148.89 @ OutletPC Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard $114.89 @ OutletPC Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $283.78 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $263.78 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-02 05:45 EDT-0400
  4. Okay i get the upgrade for the CPU and the other stuff. But an RX570 to an RX580 is just wasting money.Thats about an 10-15 % more power for about 30-40 dollars more...In my opinion you should have waited an put in more money for the video card that is not really an upgrade...
  5. You can say what you want..corsair isnt better i read alot of bad things about corsair and i read a lot of good things and bad things about seasonic...If you have a budget you have to cut corners...seasonic has an 80+ gold certifcate for that price it is the best 650 watt power supply you can get...in my opinion..You could wait for some kind of sale for sure if you would like an diffrent one but i would not recommend corsair power supplys. I myself would go with an cooler master one but thats about 30-40 dollars more for the same stuff. I would call that a diffrent opinion...@AksyhayRao27 you have to put the money in, your choice ?
  6. I did stability testing...the system is stable but the core clock goes down 300 mhz from 4.7 ghz to 4.4 ghz if under load. I testet this in gaming benchmarks, prime95 and cinebench r20 like i wrote above. This is my problem and im trying to find an solution i upped voltage to 1.25 V no change still clocking down 300 HZ under load and i do not know why that is. I only want the cpu to be stable at max clock of 4.7 ghz on all cores...The temps are pretty good most of the tim under 70 celsisus only in cinebench it goes up to about 76 celsius. So temps shouldnt be the limiting factor...
  7. Well you could upgrade the graphics Card in the future...that is why i chose the bigger psu.
  8. Well those used prices you showed us are really munch to high...dont know why the used prices are that high at the moment but with an budget of about 1000-1200 dollars you get an very decent Gaming pc at this moment thx to the new AMD Ryzen CPUs^^.
  9. 10. My opinion...for these prices...buy a new one...I did a little build for your budget of around 1000 $. Both of those System should be able to play Overwatch and ESO without any problems on max settings. Overwatch mabye with minor graphic tweaking one the Geforce RTX 2060 (im not an Overwatch player myself :)) @144 fps for your 120 hz or 144 hz Panel.
  11. Well sorry im not an native english speaker and i could missunterstand something... My goal is to overclock my 8700k with as low as possible voltage to 4.7 GHZ on all cores. The only thing i want to know is can i set the avx offset to 0 without any danger to my pc when gaming and streaming on twitch (Yeah i want to stream on twitch more often, that is why i want to push my cpu a little harder :))? Could it be that (even my pc does not crash or anything) the voltage of 1.2 is to low to allow my cpu to clock all core to 4.7 ghz at all time if under load? It would really be nice if someone could give me an answer to that. Sorry for missunterstanding you...^^
  12. Thank you for your help. Yeah okay i understand that...but i cant unterstand that my cpu doesnt hit 65 celsius while gaming but still clocks to 4.4 ghz (300 mhz under my set 4.7 ghz) so it should be the avx setting. So can it be that i set the voltage with 1.200 to low for this and that is why the avx setting kicks in to make it stable for the voltage of 1.200?
  13. I set the lon time and short time limit to max like i have seen in an oc guide of 8auer on youtube. So that should not be the Problem.
  14. So just put AVX Offset to 0 and it should be fine with an 4.7 ghz OC on the 8700k? I was told that AVX is some kind of special thing mostly just in worst case scenerios who mostly arent real world.
  15. Hey @all, i did oc my 8700k to 4.7 ghz (safe oc) with 1.2 volt and an AVX offset of 3. Now if i play games or stresstest it the cpu always clocks down from 4.7 to 4.4 the temps are really okay mostly under 75 Celsius and i do not know why the cpu clocks down. If i test it with prime95 or cinebench i suspect the AVX Offset to kick in...but if i play games that should mostly not happen should it? Is it safe to just forget about the AVX offset or do you have a diffrent solution for me? Did i give to less voltage and that is why the cpu clocks down? Im a beginner at overclocking and hope someone can help me. Thanks Greentings from germany Sebastian
