  1. I swapped cables multiple times. switched between cat5e and cat6 cat6a even cat7, which doesn't make a lot of sense, but I tried everything. Right now I did swap cables again, and briefly I had my 300/30, then I tried to bend the cable another way and speed was gone. so it is definetly something with the lan port on the modem. just weird, looks perfectly fine to my eyes... And of course I can't replicate the perfect angle of the cable again, and on the long term I don't want to rely on the right angle of a lan cable just to make my internet work. But how can that be? Isn't it like all the contacts make contact and the connection works. How can it be that a different angle gives me full speed? it's a cisco cable modem
  2. Hey everyone! I am experiencing super weird problems at my home network. My setup is: Cable modem from ISP, 1 m cat6 lan cable to router (Linksys Velop) I test speeds in the Linksys app, which is supposed to measure the speed it receives from the modem. I also test just with my android phone using various speed test(I thought it could be a speedtest.net error) And I test using my pc which is directly connected via Lan to the router. I used to receive 300/30, exactly what I pay for. But yesterday I switched some Lan cables from the switch I normally have connected and I think I touched the cable from modem to router. Suddenly the speeds sucked ass. 0.6/3 or 12/5 just weird stuff, everytime I speed test different results. Of course I tried the usual troubleshooting steps, disconnecting modem and router and connected devices from power for extended periods of time, called ISP, they said everything is fine on their end. Reset whole Velop system. Changed Lan cables... My thoughts now are that either the modem is bad, which I want to try using a different router so I can proof this. Or my weird theory: I had this issue before, that when I touched the Lan cable between router and modem a little harder, so that it would move a little, the connection went bad. I then just restarted everything and swapped Lan cable, or just tied to move it differently. After 15 minutes or so I usually got it to work again. But now I can't get it back. So is there a possibility that the Lan port on the modem went bad? I am pretty sure it's not on the Velop side, because I also swapped out the Velop APs to make another node the main node. I couldn't find any information on bad Lan ports on modems. Please help..
  3. yeah it seems that would be the best way to update. Hours wasted of doign reserach about this crap.
  4. As I said, early mid december it was still in stock. I also did order the keyboard back then. I could attach a screenshot of the order, but I am at work right now.
  5. https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard-eu shipping from europe, shipping included. 180$ = 161€ unfortunately out of stock now though, so if you really want this keyboard you would have to pay extra to ship it from US I guess. So your price calculations are correct for now, But if you are from europe, I would just wait or buy another keyboard. My original suggestion for this keyboard was from 18. Dec., it was stil available back then.
  6. Hey I tried to install windows 10 now multiple times, and I don't want to clean install, because I don't want to setup all these programs again. At around 90% of the installation process, I get the stopcode "critical process died". Research suggests that this could be fixed with sfc/scannow. The PC reverted automatically to Windows 7 and I ran sfc /scannow. As the title says I get the result that sfc has successfully repaired damadged files. The problem is even after that I can run sfc/scannow how often I want, everytime damadged files get repaired. below is only a partial cbs.log, cause the full one was too big, tell me if you want the full one, so I can zip it or similar Martin CBS.log
  7. it's 180$ with shipping and VAT, that's 160€
  8. Go for this one https://drop.com/buy/drop-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard there's also a version for Europe https://drop.com/buy/drop-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard Look up some reviews, the CTRL is outstanding
  9. I did that today actually. I was at 2 different computer stores, problem is they had only Logitech, Roccat, Corsair, Razer and noname stuff. I tried the Razer Huntsman Elite and Classic, they did not have the TE in stock. But I can say that I don't mind the switches. But because I was kind of a Razer fanboy before, I hesitate to buy that again, I would like to go another way, I would only buy the Huntsman TE if it's kinda the only option left. I tried some Logitech stuff, but I didn't like the 915 and the other stuff was pretty outdated. I don't like Roccats design, and corsair was too hardcore gamer style looking. It's like I said, I don't really care much about the switches and the feel of typing, don't get me wrong I still want good switches and the overall typing experience should be satisfying, but my main priority is design I guess.
  10. As the title says, I have a really hard time on deciding what keyboard I want to buy. I spent hours and hours of watching reviews, researching, I just can't decide. What I wanna do with it: Mostly Game but I also code time to time. Switches: I really don't care about the Switch. I just don't like Romer-G, but I can get used to everything, if it has to be RomerG I can get used to that aswell. I am using a Razer Blackwidow 2016, it's a little clicky and I don't mind it, but silent/linear would also be ok. Preferences: I like good build quality. I would prefer something with a metal housing, I just want that premium feel. Also USB-C detachable would be cool, but just nice to have, not a must have. I'd like nice keycaps, doubleshot PBT would be nice, but I'm not an expert on this, so if there are alternatives, I`m in! I am used to full size keyboards, so I would like a full size one or a TKL, but not something like 65% etc. TKL is preferred RGB is optional Budget: I would love something not overpriced, but if the price is justified, I am happy to pay for it, so budget is not really a problem right now. Also I am from Austria, so I would like to end up with a german layout. It would be perfect if it came with the german layout out of the box, but I can also manage to buy aftermarket keycaps and switch them. So far I have as favourites: Steelseries Apex Pro TKL - Price is a little high, not sure about the keycap quality. Razer Huntsman TE - Not sure if I wanna trust Razer again, and the only one available here is with US layout, so I would have to buy replacement keys HyperX Alloy Origins - Not sure about the quality, never saw or tested a hyperx keyboard. What do you think about my 3 favourites, and do you have other recommendations? I kinda like Logitech, I like their design but they want to sell most of their equipment with those RomerGs..
  11. I like the build quality aswell, especially the keycaps, but it's so loud..
  12. lol you serious? I hate 65% keyboards. Useless to me. It's acceptable as a portable keyboard for on the go, but I can't use that on my Desktop Setup. I Need TKL or Full size
  13. well it's definetly playable, the only reason not to get it would be to wait for a discount on black friday or christmas or something. The patch today was also pretty big, stabilty should not be a problem anymore. It's just kinda hard work to get to the settings and the performance u want. But even at medium preset this game looks amazing. crushing console obviously.
  14. what are your settings? I have everything set to Ultra, and my 2070 sits at 4% usage, but i get 50-60 frames. My Cpu is also only at 30% usage. I don't see the bottleneck, I don't know that to do
  15. Oh i forgot. the monitor stand ships in 2 pieces. the bottom part is seperated from the top. I think this makes it fairly easy to wrap/paint, etc.
