  1. I ran DDU for both Nvidia and AMD drivers, reinstalled AMD drivers, and unfortunately it still happened.
  2. So I ran DDU earlier today to fix it like usual and everything was fine while I used my PC. Shut it down, come back later, turn it on... and its purple again. I kept decent track of all the things I did today, so I have a fairly narrow list of culprits. This also confirms my suspicions of it only happening after a restart
  3. Did not find any color profiles other than the one from my monitor, also reset the monitor with no improvement. I have swapped between two DP cables, the one it came with and one I bought on Amazon. The issue applied to both cables. I have not tried HDMI, but I do have an extra cable or two laying around I could try tomorrow.
  4. I am aware of this, but why should I need to cover up the problem with manual color correction when the evidence points to it being a conflict of drivers in some way. I can fix it with DDU every single time by setting it to uninstall Nvidia drivers, but sooner or later it goes back. It seems like the issue returns after restarting, but I restart my PC a lot so I cant confidently say.
  5. Hello, I recently upgraded my PC quite a bit, one of those upgrades being getting a XFX 6950xt to replace my 1070Ti. I honestly forgot to uninstall my Nvidia drivers, I was just excited to rebuild my PC, but when I got it finished and turned it on, Windows 11 automatically got the drivers and all was fine. Made sure to manually delete/uninstall anything Nvidia shortly after, and all was fine for a day or two until I noticed that the blue "Install" button on Steam games was noticeably more purple than it should have been. Noticed the same thing with the blue colors on things like Google or Twitter, such as the logo and the blue highlight over text. I took screenshots, and people I sent it to could see it as purple too. I should also mention that it is seemingly not all shades of blue, just the examples that I mentioned are noticeably wrong. I ran Display Driver Uninstaller via friend's recommendation, and it always fixes it for a little bit, but for some reason it always goes back to being purple somehow. My color settings in the AMD software are set to "Normal", and the Display settings are in the image attached. Any help is appreciated, I would like to not have to run DDU every couple weeks. 6. I was moreso wondering if I should invest in a good amp/dac since I'm not sure how well my reciever could drive high impedance cans. Apologies that I wasn't very clear on that, but I appreciate the suggestions as well. Will look into that.
  7. I wish that I could, but I live in an extremely noisy environment and beefy closed back headphones help block out the noise for me. Otherwise, I would have no issue at all with that.
  8. For about 5 years now I have been using Beyerdynamic 770 80ohm headphones, but as of late I have been interested in getting a 250ohm pair. Maybe the Beyer 1770, but I haven't researched anything too much yet. Anyway I have been using my Yamaha RXV385 to power the ones I have now because it is intertwined with my turntable, PS5, and such. I have a Focusrite Solo which I think makes them sound cleaner, but it's in a very unfortunate location for plugging in headphones and I have seen online that it's rated for 200ohms so it might be a little quiet if I plugged in 250ohm headphones. I couldn't find online what my receiver's phones output was but if anyone happens to know I would appreciate it. Getting to the point, would I benefit more sound quality wise from getting a dedicated amp and dac or is a reciever a decent bet? I'm willing to spend a little money on a decent piece if that's what it takes, I'm just looking to upgrade my rig.
  9. This is a super dumb mistake, but I was doing some work on my PC and I got some thermal paste on my PC case, and a small smudge on my CPU cooler's plastic shroud. I tried rubbing alcohol like usual, but it seems that the thermal paste is stuck to the troughs of the case like dirt gets in the pores of your skin. All in all not a big deal since I am planning on replacing both eventually, but if anyone knows of a chemical or something that could remove it please let me know. Maybe WD40 since its a degreaser? One thing I have yet to try is an old toothbrush.
  10. I tried AT&T, Ookla, and Fast and they all come out roughly the same while Google continues to show innacurately. I had assumed Google would be accurate since it always was before, but I now believe that this may have been Google misreading my internet speed and nothing to do with an actual speed problem. I should have tested multiple sources to begin with but I kinda forgot Ookla existed and didnt know about fast.com until now. Thanks for the help though. Not exactly sure how to go about that. I tried downloading an MP4 file from google and it does seem consistent with this chart by eyeballing it. As I said above though I think this case is solved. Thanks for the help.
  11. Yes, I have tried almost every port on the router with each cable and they all read the same. Unrelated to to reply I have figured something out just now. Figured I'd give it one last speed test before restarting and found that google's speed test gave me 15 down 2 up but Ookla's speed test gives me 30 down 2 up. Weird right? To top it off I did it on my dad's PC too and both google and Ookla come back roughly the same on his.
  12. Recently got an upgrade from 12 down and 1 up, to now 30 down and 2 up. Over wifi and ethernet my dad's PC gets the full speed, however on mine, it only gets up to 15 down and 2 up. I have tried switching out ethernet cables (both cat5e and cat6) and neither gave me the full speed on my PC. I then used the same cable on my dad's PC and still read 30 down 2 up, so I've ruled out the cables being the issue. I dont have any software installed that I know of that would limit my bandwidth, nor is it a program running a download. I will try restarting my PC after sending this, though I doubt that will help. Could it be an issue with my motherboard? Specs: AT&T 5268AC router MSI MPG x570 Gaming Plus
  13. Done that multiple times. Only worked one time which could have been a coincidence considering none of the other times worked. Even if it did work temporarily Id have to do that constantly considering how frequently it slows down.
  14. Well, I've found the logs for my router but I dont understand them. Is it safe to post them here?
  15. I have AT&T U-Verse (I believe so anyway. I don't handle the wifi.) which in all the years prior to recently, has been pretty stable. As of the last couple months the internet speed will slow to a crawl for random amounts of time, at random times, and day or night regardless of who else is on the network. It hold around 0.15-0.30 mbps at times (its suppose to be 12mbps). I have checked if any updates were running or things were downloading, and 9 times out of 10 there is nothing consuming a large amount of internet. It would be one thing to assume it gets slow when everyone comes home from work, but as I said, it has happened at various times including really late at night. Is there any chance my AT&T router is dying or could it be caused by something else? Edit: Forgot to mention that I am connected through ethernet not a poor wifi connection.
  16. Yes it is. Found that Exclusive mode was on and turned it off which helped. Turned off Noise Reduction and it is better now.
  17. I have a Blue Spark SL, Focusrite Solo with gain at 50%, Phantom power turned on, input volume set to max in Discord, and my friends have me set to 200% in VC. Most people say im too quiet in Discord. No problems in Audacity or Steam calls its only Discord. Any ideas?
  18. $200 max for the camera. Its only for Youtube so im not looking to break the bank.
  19. I normally record gaming content through OBS on my PC, but me and a friend have decided to make some videos in real life just for fun. For our first video I used my Samsung S8 at 1080p 30FPS (can also record in 60FPS); The end result was acceptable enough, however next time I want to come better equipped. My first thought was to buy a small tripod and lapel/lavier microphone since it was mainly the phone's microphone that proved difficult. My other idea was to go a little more long term, and buy a beginner budget camera, and attatching a microphone to that. I've yet to look into cameras so I have no idea if they're good or not, but the first thing that came to mind was one of those handheld camcorders, though any suggestion helps. Im not looking for outstanding results as its nothing professional but I would like better overall quality than what I got out of my phone. If anyone has ideas im all ears.
  20. I don't feel like explaining why, but theres tremendous amounts of background noise where I live, and I am not usually able to record when this noise is gone either. The bottom line is that I need some kind of software or hardware that will make this background noise more manageable, so I can record my videos. What options are available? Focusrite Solo Blue Spark SL
  21. Hey all. Im planning to finish my gaming PC soon so I can move on to VR and other things. The last real hurdle I have yet to jump through is my CPU cooler which is why im here. Im looking for CPU coolers that will clear the height of my RAM. Ive been looking at the 212 Evo but if you know of a better cooler that im unaware of please let me know. I don't plan on overclocking anytime in the foreseeable future. MSI x470 Gaming Plus Trident Z NZXT H500 Ryzen 7 3700x
  22. Its simple. I want to set up two microphones close to each other in a podcast or table like setting. How would I keep my voice from being picked up by the 2nd microphone and vice versa? Or is it even an issue/solvable issue? Probably a dumb question but im new and want to learn. Thanks in advance!
