Windows 10 latest updates (within 8 days)
So due to storms etc we find our selves with out out or fiber connection. So ok my mobile phone has data and a ok connection use that. So i put my wifi pci card Asus AC56 into the pc windows 10 for once finds it and gets it working. Now the rub. My phone was only set to 5g my card is 5g But PC cannot see the network only those on 2g. I looked this up.

From Google search 802.11a or 802.11ac. If you can find these among the displayed values, your computer supports 5GHz.
But nothing i do will set it to 5g and every google result tells me to set Preferred Band in device Manager Advanced but thats not on the list............ DURP
Im Using USB Tethering at the moment which is not great. Tried the manufacturers web page no drivers W10 will install automatically 10 year old drivers. So what Dumb ass thing am i doing wrong please?
