  1. Hello everyone! I am a newbie in this forum, though i have been following linus for a long time. Please be nice to me! Following Situation: After i played a videogame my PC suddenly overheated to 91C. After seeing that i immediately restarted the system. Now whenever i try to boot it up everything lights up for a second, fans spin for 1 second, and then it goes dark again. It wont react to any more power-button presses. CPU Led lights up red, that is the only thing i can make out. Summary of what is going on: after CPU overheated i restarted the pc Red CPU Led lights up briefly everything turns on for 1 second and goes off again have this PC in since 6~ years, worked perfectly fine yesterday What i have tried already: removed RAM sticks and tried booting with 1-2 of them (with the GPU) removed the GPU and tried booting tried booting without any drives attached reapplied thermalpaste took out the CPU and put it back in (no bent pin from what i have seen) tried booting without the CPU cooler dusted it off nicely! plugged in the PC in 2 differnet places System specs: CPU: Intel i7-3930K Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i Watercooler Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth X79 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3-1600 GPU: EVGA GTX 780TI Power Supply: Silverstone SST-ST85F-P 850W OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
