  1. Strange issue where my rgb lighting components will flash on and off this happens quite frequently in windows only. Back in the bios they are stable. Doesn't matter if icue has installed or not, it all of a sudden started not changing any changes to the lighting I made and suddenly the settings changed mid game to what I set them to but again the flashing was still persistant. The lights have worked normally for a few minutes but then problem re occurs. PC performance wise is stable no crashes or anything else. high spec pc. 4090,12900k tuf z690 + etc
  2. yeah no more black screens on post after running chkdsk...
  3. I think i found the solution, I checked windows reliability monitor and the initial no post was listed as windows hard disk failed or something like that. So i ran checkdisk and after 45-30 minutes on each drive now starts and shutsdown properly. So far so good. I won't mark it as solved just yet.
  4. I don't have a working phone at the moment to take any pictures. But i'll get some tomorow and upload them. I'll show the cable setup but there doesn't seem to be any melting I can notice around the cables or aggressive bending of them. Again i'm using the new corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 PSU Power Cable In the meantime i'll see about grabbing one of those cables jay recommends at the start of the video
  5. Having strange issues suddenly. Recently installed a 4090 as described in my specs below. Pc is performing in games as expected and no issues such as freezes, bsods restarts or anything of that nature. But I am all of a sudden getting random no display no posts, its been almost two weeks since I installed the card and pc was definitely not doing this before hand. I have also used the new corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 PSU Power Cable to connect the gpu. Seems to post after restart not so much if it's shutdown but posts after a hard reset/shutdown from the no/post no display state. This happened once before but today seems happen nearly every time the computer is started up after being shutdown via the windows start menu. 6. According to event viewer, pc shut down unexpectedly on the 18/09/2021. This was the black screen event upon restart which made me do a forced shutdown using the button on the case. Then this morning (28/09/21) I started my pc up and when it got to the windows sign in "screen" it restarted. Windows update circle load screen appeared for a few minutes then it got to the sign in screen. Another restart and everything appears to be working as normal. No further restarts yet... According to event viewer this message is associated with both of the random shutdowns - "The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem." I play Microsoft flight simulator for hours a day with all settings maxed in 5120x1440 and never suffer from any performance issues or crashes or any other failures. The problems mentioned above is the only time I've noticed strange things occurring with my computer. Coincidently or not I wonder if it's anything to do with a windows update as both issues occurred after this updater "September 14, 2021—KB5005565 (OS Builds 19041.1237, 19042.1237, and 19043.1237)" which was installed on the 17/09/21. In case this helps at all my pc specs are: ah t600 case asus rog strix z 590-f motherboard i9 10900k (stock settings) 64gb corsair vengeance 3600mhz ram. rog strix 3090 asus thor 1200w psu
  7. @Homeless Pineapple Now it says can't install driver not compatible on this version of windows. This is on palit and nvidias websites, v. 430.86 madness ....
  8. I haven't tried the driver that's in the box actually. I will follow your advice and get back to you asap. Thanks for your time @Homeless Pineapple
  9. It still crashed with gsync off. Temps were 71c at time of crash.
  10. I'm with you. Seems strange to me too because of the liquid cooler. I've ran memtest 64 with no errors I forgot to mention. Only for 2 hours . I don't understand why there was no crashes on the earlier versions of windows though on Battlefield V. I'll try gsync off now and report temps @ point of crash.
  11. I didn't do my research I just went for what seemed to be a decent setup. I wasn't clued up on the motherboard situation. I do have g-sync enabled using the asus pg278q @ 144hz. Temps usually 70-75c tops for the gpu but not sure exactly when the crash occurs. I'll look into this next. Drivers are from nvidia website / experience. I've tried reinstalling windows aswell. Case is a fractal C meshify and 3XS AIO 240 Liquid Cooler on the cpu. I forgot to mention these. Bios is version 0904.
  12. My System Motherboard: ASUS TUF B360 CPU: i7 9700k (stock settings, locked anyway) RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz DDR4 GPU: RTX 2080TI Palit Gaming Pro OC 11gb Hard drives: 512GB Intel 660p M.2 SSD 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD PSU: Corsair CX550M – 80PLUS system is bought from scan computers The Problem Battlefield V, PUBG, Escape from Tarkov and The Hunt Showdown all crash usually within 5-10 minutes of gameplay. The system usually freezes for a second or two followed by CTD. No error message on screen apart from on The Hunt: Showdown where it gave me a Graphic exception error message. Total War: Three kingdoms I do not get any crashes following their most recent update but was crashing quite regularly prior. I did recently manage to play Battlefield V for around an hour or two prior to this I used DDU in safe mode and reinstalled the most recent nvidia drivers. . I also tried disabling XMP. But still has been crashing to desktop anyway. I'm running windows 10 version 1903. I found the games not to be crashing on earlier versions of windows but have difficulty rolling back the drivers now. Also cannot enable features such as ray tracing before update 1809. Kind of lost on what to do. I've contacted scan computers explaining the problem and am currently waiting a reply. Other things worth mentioning are that this is my second rtx 2080ti received as the first one was constantly stuttering even if FPS were high.
