  1. So, I got it to work somehow, can't really tell if anything I did worked, anyway I know for sure it still isn't fixed yet, because it still kinda cuts off sometimes, but more rarely than before. That I already tried multiple times and it did literally nothing. Soo if it is the case of router options, setting the frequency or some other stuff regarding going inside the router and changing things, I am forbidden to do so in my apartament, since the logins are only to be known by the landlord. I don't live in the US, I live in Poland (EU) so yeah, don't have a lot of experience with that particular ISP the landlord has here, all I know is that they want a f-ton of money for sending over a technician to even do basic maintenance and I don't want to lose a lot of money on those things, since i'm at college.
  2. I'd really like to do that, i think it would fix a lot of my problems, though I don't have access to the router options as only the owner has. I also noticed it is a problem possibly related to my setup, since on my laptop and phone I don't have connection problems at all.
  3. So I'm renting a room and the apartament also has a router with internet access, since the wall plugs didn't have lan connections in them, I bought a wifi card (COMFAST CF-WP1750 1750Mbps). I plugged it into my desktop and was amazed by the fast speeds of glass fibre internet and this presumably high speed wifi card. Suddenly without me doing anything i lost connection, then it connected again, worked for a while, then lost connection again. I investigated, reinstalled the drivers, used windows default drivers, plugged in and out, re-attached the antennas, tried putting a lan plug in the wall, but it still isn't working and i can't really investigate why because I don't have the network testing tools, neither have access to the router interface, since it's locked for anyone other than the apartament owner. I noticed the connection did something like this (notice the periodically appearing losses of connection): Pinging the router showed the same results, whereas in i.e. 10 pings, 9 of them were at a latency of 1ms and the 10th was at latencies near to 1000ms, this is extremly annoying when playing games and listening to online lectures. Sometimes it doesn't detect the 5GHz variant of the connection despite seeing many other 5GHz connections from other apartaments. The automatic energy saving mode on the wifi card is also turned off since I already saw many other forums on similar problems like this. Today for example in the night i sat to like 3 AM in the night and i had no problems at all with the connection and when I woke up today and wanted to turn on my online lecture it started cutting off all the time and it's persisting while i am writing this post. Could someone give me a clue on what is happening here and how i could possibly fix it? EDIT: I also noticed that when another person in the apartament in the room besides mine opens or closes the door, the connection seems to cut off (wierd, right??)
  4. I will remember that. Thank you for your response, I will try to do what you told me and report later if anything changes. Btw it's an AMD Athlon X4 750K.
  5. I said they are listed on my profile, but ok. The CPU has a stock cooler and I have added one 120mm fan in the front of the case for airflow. It decreased the CPU temps drastically because it topped at around 93C before.
  6. I clean everything regularly. Temps on the CPU are around 60C (140F) Idle, but as I have read for this CPU it's kind of normal to be that hot, while playing it gets to around 85C, GPU is Idle ~40C(113F) and in-game around 70C other temps are nominal.
  7. Hi there, I listed my specs on my profile. The problem I see is that games like CS:GO, Minecraft and many others started to lose way more fps than they should. I remember playing on 100+ fps with the same specs but with time it degraded. I did not over- or underclock my hardware. The thing that caught my attention was the PSU since it is just a built-in one. Now I know my hardware is old but should it not perform a tad better?
