I guess i will send the cpu back and order a new one, although i am not 100% sure that it is faulty. The thing that confuses me the most is that most tutorials on bios flashback+ state that the light will flash red while mine was white.

Both looks clean, also no bent pins

Hello, I have started to build my new system today, but it does not boot. My specs: Ryzen 5 3600 Msi b450 a pro Ballistix sport ddr4 3200mhz First i started with updating the bios using flashback + , after this the led started blinking white 3 times. Than i assembled everything but only got the fans spinning and a white led labeled "cpu" I tried booting with one or no stick of ram, but the light is still lit. I am pretty sure that i installed everything right, what else could be the problem? Thanks

The cuttings turned out ok... Not beautiful, not ugly, but deffintely better for airflow than before. The cables are way too short, so some soldering will be needed, maybe even solder in a swicht for "silent mode" ?

The fans have finally arrived, but i didn't have much time today, i will probably make the cutouts tomorrow.

@IAmAndre mine is actually smaller since it is only a mAtx case

In my opinion it heavily depends on the front panel, if it is nearly shut like the sharkoon mentioned, the fans can´t suck much air and are pretty much useless. However if the case has a mesh front panel or enough ventilation holes, it beats the side fans. top fans are great too. I have this one v1000 window , the airflow is great but the stock fans are trash

@TheCamba Thanks Since i have to wait a few days till my fans arrive (to make the cutouts), i have removed the apples on the side, i think this will make the paintjob easyer and cleaner looking.

Today i made the mounting for the psu, not really happy how it turned out, but since i don´t have a lot of scrap metal i had to re-use a hdd mount. The Psu will (hopefully) be held in place by 2 screws and 2 zipties. To mount a 3.5 Harddrive, i reinstalled one of the old mounts, since it seemed like the best place. Next thing i have to make are the fan holes and the front panel.

Why would you want a Secondary Gpu? I am just curios

Made the mobo standoffs today, yes they are a bit getho, but i like how it turned out. By the way, if someone is actually reading this, does anyone know a good Cpu cooler (probably for 1151v2) that is lower than 155mm?

Because i didn´t want to be limited on a really low profile cooler, i had to choose a new place for the Power supply. Having a GPU thats longer than the board (270mm, so still pretty normal) does not make things easyer either. I also wanted it to be on the folding side, so there won´t be that many changing cable lenghts. Said so there was only one spot left, and although i would have liked it to be a bit lower to the ground, i think it is a good compromise. Since this won´t be a sleeper build, i might make the front mesh with a decent fan. anyways, here are some pictures of the layout:

1 1/2 hours and lot´s of coffee later the area around the IO shield looks more like a pc btw, the steel of this case is really though, no matter how often you bend it, it just won´t snap

Hello, this is my first attempt at doing a casemod, so i am trying my best (and also please keep in mind that English isn´t my native language, so some phrases might sound a bit weird) Since i always wanted something kind of unique as a case, i decided to pick up an old Mac, rip out its guts, and replace them with a real Pc. I really like the look of the old Powermac G4, kind of looks like a mixture between a Spaceship and a Toaster. My current pc is a µATX FX4300 with a gtx780, so i might upgrade there later on. My plan is to make all fit together nicely andgive it a nice new paintjob. About the shell "donor": With a baseclock of 400mhz, the original hardware clearly isn´t too impressive these days, but the case has a decent size and is made from zinc coated steel and some pretty though plastics. The whole thing was pretty loud, thanks to the stupid original cooling system. fun fact: it is actually older than me I did not make any pictures from how it looked originally, since it was just a basic Powermac g4 graphite with a lot of dust. I started with stripping away all the things i clearly won´t need anymore Updates will defintely come, and feel free to comment below
