  1. So, the attached screenshot is how my windows update has been for the last week or so. To give background, I'm currently overseas from NA, using internet provided by Babtel on a US Government contract for us here. This situation started while I was using a VPN (Surfshark) but has persisted with the VPN off. The troubleshooter just tells me that there is a problem detected but no solution and Microsoft's website is of no help either. Has anyone encountered basiclly stuck updates and resolved the problem? I have settings to allow for updates over metered connections and this connection is not set as metered anyway. It also persists when I try to use my phone's hotspot with the same settings. Thanks in advance.
  2. So I moved my PC across my house and when I plugged it in, my system didn't turn on. Ensured the switch was on and plugged in. Moved to two separate outlets, used a different cable, and jumped the 24pin with the PSU's included jumper. It is an EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5 and I've had it since November. Any solutions short of an RMA? Anyone have a similar experience?
  3. Hey all, I have an R7 2700X on an MSI B450 Tomahawk MOBO and used Ryzen Master to overclock. My problem is that i cannot revert RM to auto. When I try to change from manual to auto, I get the message in the image, click OK to restart my PC, and immediately upon restart, RM reverts back to my 4.1 GHz OC, i can't even drop the OC past a restart, I have uninstalled RM and it still overrides the bios back to a 4.1 GHz OC. I have reset my CMOS and reinstalled my chipset drivers to no avail. Any help would be appreciated,
  4. Settles it then. Thanks everyone. I only game and do basic office work at my house (Lots of Powerpoint, some Word and Excel). Saved me some cash.
  5. Buying from United States. Considering a 3600 or 4000 series upgrade in the future, sometime around Black Friday.
  6. Hello all, Looking to upgrade from an RX570. Current build. Based on Borderlands 3, I have a GPU Bottleneck (2.5 ms FT for CPU, 12.5 ms FT for GPU at medium settings). I suspect that that the bottle neck is in all my games. CPU: R7 2700x Motherboard: MSI Tomahawk B450 Ram: Corsair Vengence lPX 3000MHz (2x8gb) PSU: EVGA 600w 80+ Bronze. I am looking at either a 2070S, a 2060S, or a 5700x. Any recommendations? Thanks.
  7. For MSI boards, the Max means that it comes with 3rd Gen BIOS on board. I personally use a Tomahawk Max with a 2700x (wanted an upgrade path when 4th gen comes out while saving money for a decent CPU to pair with my RX 570) A little cursory research seems to suggest that the Tomahawk and the Mortar are largely the same, aside from form factor (mortar is mATX and Tomahawk is ATX). The Mortar has two m.2 slots whereas the Tomahawk only has one. I would go for the mortar if you can get it, I love my Tomahawk.
