  1. Here is a straight forward answer for you cause I see no others,

You are not being bottlenecked by the I5, you could even get a more powerful gpu and still be fine, I used a 3rd gen I5 with a GTX 1070 and it worked fine, in some games my I5 bottlenecked it, but in most it worked great!!

As long as you don't have any problems with playing games you want to, no need to upgrade, I still run 3rd gen intel cpus because they still work great, but you know, that's just my opinion

Default is Auto which usually uses much more voltage than necessary and causes high temps.

Try setting it manually instead. You should be able to hit 4.2ghz with 1.2v fairly easily. Try that and stress testing for temps. Depending on results, you can tweak for higher clocks or lower voltage from there.

Alright, awesome, thanks so much :D

It'd be a bit of an improvement but I don't think it's worth $65 over the current 3570k.

3.6ghz is very low. Most should pretty easily hit 4.0 - 4.2ghz depending on the cooler. What motherboard, core voltage, and cooler are you using? Load temps?

    Cooler is HyperMaster 212 Evo

    Motherboard is asus p8z77-v lx

    And core voltage is default

And load temps, under a full load it hits around 80 degrees C

The 3770 is probably an upgrade unless the 3570k is aggressively oc'ed and whatever you're doing significantly benefits from the higher clocks.

Why? What's the system being used for? If you already have the 3570k, it's probably not worth buying the 3770. It may be worth considering if you just had both lying around.

I mostly do gaming and some streaming here and there, but I have a friend offering me an I7 3770 for 65 bucks and I know that's a good deal for the cpu so thought I'd see if it's worth the money, and no it's not super overclocked I can only get it to 3.6 before it becomes unstable

  5. Hello, yes an upgrade would still be worth it, I use an I5 3570k with an rx 580 and have no bottlenecks unless it is a very cpu heavy game, so you're good with that cpu for another maybe 2 or 3 years, 4th gen I7's still do amazing for gaming and maybe even some streaming here and there, so yeah go ahead and upgrade your gpu, what's your budget for the upgrade? I can recommend a gpu

    at 1600x900 a 1050 ti-level card should be ok.

I would change cpu for a ryzen 3 to get better price

  7. Hey I have been using a I5 3570k for a good while now, nothing is wrong with it, but I plan to start streaming soon (nothing crazy, just like Minecraft CsGo and other lighter games) and I want to know should I upgrade to a i7 3rd gen to get it to stream better? I know it won't be insanely better as it would still be 4 cores, but those 4 more threads would help. Is it worth it?

  8. I have a I5 3570k, rx 560, 12 gb ram, and a 600 watt power supply, I plan on doing 1080p gaming, I want to know what card I should get? I am willing to buy used! And I am on a budget of 200ish US dollars

Yes, a GTX 1650 would be better, but it may also be more expensive.

RX 560 consumes up to around 80-90 watts, GTX 1050 cards are at around 75-80 watts, GTX1060 cards are at 120 watts.

I think a GTX 1050 / 1050ti would give you a bit better performance compared to RX 460 but again it's up to the price.

Well I'm only wanting this to use for mostly gaming for about a year, cause I had a good system, but the mb died so I just want something till I can do a ryzen build with my gtx 1070, and the pc I have now is a sff with a 240 watt psu so I wanted something (other than the gt 1030) to put in it till then

A rx460 will consume up to around 100 watts, depending on model, amount of video card ram and other things. In the worst case scenario. you can use Wattman to reduce frequencies a bit and make the card use less power, saving 10-20 watts.

Your i5 3470 along with everything else doesn't consume more than 100w, so you should be within that 240w the power supply can provide..

Okay awesome! Thanks bro! I may go ahead and buy the gpu, and if it doesn't work with that psu, I can use it in another system! :D

Why would it burn the CPU up? Most likely the system would just shutdown when it exceeds wattage

    Also, i'd get a GTX 1650

Oops...I meant would it burn the psu out, put in the wrong word lol
