  1. I like the PSU and SSD tier lists but are there any for those cheap external ssd/hdd enclosures? I had one die on me and while I get that RMA'd I want to see which ones on Amazon is most reliable. If not, which brand and model of 2.5inch hdd/ssd enclosure have people had luck with?
  2. Nevermind, I downloaded the windows store version and it worked fine. I guess I had a really old version or something even though it was Cinebench R20
  3. So I have a Ryzen 5 2600, 16gb ddr4 ram, 500gb ssd all on a B450 Tomahawk with a Corsair TX650 PSU? (its 80+ gold and from corsair) My R5 2600 is OC to 4.0 GHz at 1.34v. This has been stable since I have ran prime95 for over an hour and I have had this OC since last year in around June 2019. However, just out of nowhere I said Ill run cinebench R20 cause why not. It does fine the first 75% then when its closer to being at the end squares it just gets a black screen, BUT my PC is still on and the fans are still running like its on. However, the keyboard and mouse RGB is off and the screen is black and my monitor says "going to power save" which is what it says when I turn my PC off or put it in sleep mode. Is this a power issue or CPU issue? Other benchmarks work fine.
  4. You have no dead pixels? I think I'm tech cursed. Two of my friends bought msi monitors and got perfect ones out of the box no dead or stuck pixels and here i am getting 3 on my first try lol. Maybe ill get lucky some other time.
  5. I ended up having 3 dead pixels on mine so its going back. They weren't super noticeable but it was there. Thankful that amazon has a good return policy. I may wait until after ces is done since there are new monitors set to release. other than the pixels and the stand its a great monitor. I guess i got unlucky since this is my second benq monitor with a dead pixel, last one being a 1080p monitor for a gift
  6. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/acer/predator-xb271hu the acer has decent reviews. For your needs if its the only option in your area and importing isnt and option then it should be good. Just get it froma place with a good return policy
  7. If you want the LG get the 27GL83A, Its basically has the same panel minus some features. I would check rtings on their review of it since they did in depth testing on it
  8. How is everything now at the end of the month? I have one coming in the mail but I am thinking of sending it back in favor of the LG 27GL83A since its cheaper and basically has the same specs, but the LG one has a different panel made by LG themselves. I agree on your statement on the reviews though. Literally no one has given an actual indepth review (rtings, tft central etc) so I have to go off of subjective user reviews or amazon reviews. All the youtube reviews have been provided the monitor free if you listen to them in the beginning of the video so you can't trust them once they say that. At least with the LG there has been more reviews on it. idk maybe I am being paranoid. Oh yea and its not a true 10bit panel, its 8 bit + FRC. You cannot enable 10bit and 144hz at the same time either which is another thing leaning me towards the LG.
  9. Oh ok so if I set the XMP profile back to 3000mhz and it shows as 1500 in the task manager then its basically 3000mhz since 1500 is half? Weird how before it showed the speeds fine, but I guess 1903 messed that up
  10. In cpu z and the task manager my ram shows up as 1067mhz. Basically I have an xmp profile enabled at running it at 3000mhz ever since june. The I did the 1903 update in August and thats what messed everything up. I noticed back then its actually went to 1500mhz but i saw a google post saying its a windows glitch so I never did anything about it. Now when I try to play games like minecraft which are ram and cpu intensive I get 20-60 fps on my rtx 2060 and 2600 cpu. I tried to resetting the xmp profiles and it still runs at that speed. I am on bios 1.70 on a B450 Tomahawk using corsair ram that used to get 3000mhz when I first built the rig.
  11. pfsense mainly since it's free and for home use that's good and it fulfills my needs tbh. I think the last time i checked you pay for untangle right? I think if I was using this at work I would probably go that route though.
  12. Having gigabit is a blessing and a curse lol. You need really powerful hardware to push those packets but you also never have to wait for a download Also the cpu in that pc is the g5400T the T is the lower clocked version and takes a bit less power. The only thing holding me back from getting the lenovo is the nvme issue, but if nvme doesnt indeed workout I may just get another mini pc or something. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i5-7200U-vs-Intel-Pentium-Gold-G5400-vs-Intel-Pentium-Gold-G5400T/2865vs3248vs3329
  13. Yes lol its overkill, but for my gigabit internet the netgate products couldn't handle it without maxing the cpu out or spending $700 of the sg5100 which is double this price. The discussion was on reddit just today:
  14. This is for home and unfortunately I dont have a rack mount or space for those dell servers everyone always mentions. And for my gigabit internet I wanted something powerful which also has power left over for add on packages
