  1. Awsome, thanks so much. Just ordered a dusk, looks to be about the same wait as amazon and saved me $50!
  2. Ok, so what I'm getting from the replies is that it's not a good deal and don't buy it. However I will say that Amazon's used listing from their warehouse are very safe bets. Most times on a very good or higher I end up with new in the box or its been opened and everything inside is still factory wrapped. So I would count them as new. But if those are not a great deal I'm open to suggestions on a lower priced metal cased, Backlit, modular keyboard.
  3. They are $250 for the new version on drop right now, the ALT is almost $200. Just tossing it out there.
  4. Just a heads up, amazon has the drop CTRL "used" for a pretty decent price right now.
  5. You didn't hear? Sunny D is the best coolant you can get! Lol. It is cocked as I haven't figured out how to securely mount it yet, but it doesn't put any stress on anything. Now I have to figure out my gpu issue, I'm pretty sure the pcie riser is bad, works and I get display before drivers are installed but I go to blank screen as soon as they install, lucky I have igpu to troubleshoot with.
  6. Awesome, thanks! This is what I ended up with and damn it's a tight fit.
  7. So I'm in the process of tearing down my rig to replace the motherboard , as I am not happy with the vrms on the asus z390 motherboards and am not happy with my Temps overall. I also decided that my rtc 2080 was too pretty to hide facing down, so this calls for a loop rework. I have attached a very bad hand drawn (not to scale) loop that I think will be OK, my question is do you guys think that my use of so many 90s and 45s will effect flow bad enough to make things detrimental? I'm not worried about my loop order but am using an older swiftech 240 rad and a new ek 280 slim with a d5 pump. Should I be OK with all those fittings or try to use less and make longer bends in the soft tubing I am using? I am trying to squish all this in a Lancool one as well... Current photo for sizing reference.
  8. $550usd for 20L their electrocool ec 140, $330usd for ec 100.not sure what the thermal difference is, but imagine running this through a chiller with direct immersion.
  9. Yeah I have a single 120 rad and a 280 rad in my loop. I do want to try to swap the 120 out for a 240, but might have to go external if I want that to happen. I've re-seated my waterblock once and it didn't help any with Temps but it just seems off on some of the higher load stress tests, like an avx run of prime kills it to 100c in under a minute, and that's at lower vcore than most of what I'm reading people land on to be stable. I'm going to be doing a tare down and swapping out the mobo for something with a vastly better vrm set (mostly because I just like to burn through money) so maybe a good clean off and another re-seat on a new mobo will help. I am honestly not thrilled with the clearance for the cpu block thumb screws on the maximus xi hero, so I'm not overly confident that I have a good even seat. Hoping the Aorus master I just ordered will have better hand room around the vrm.
  10. Thanks so much for the info on this, I'm pretty sure I have a stable oc at this point, managed to finish an hour run of occt medium with no crash. Prime 95 on a balanced load with avx crashes out individual cores but I think it's from Temps, it slays a few cores well into thermal throttle. I'll be doing more stress tests tomorrow and trying to tweak things into a lower temp range.
  11. I'm also unsure why it's dropping to 4.5 ghz when I have an avx offset of zero. Edit: I think it is due to the ring down ratio, let's turn it off to see.
  12. occt seems underwhelming on the stress side lol
  13. I will look into that, I've done semi short runs with prime 95 max heat, it does stay stable but puts me into the mid 90s so I don't run that very long, I do a custom fixed fft run and it handles better, aida64, blender classroom render, I've done a few other random tests as well.
  14. I'm also going to try and dial back the voltage a bit, I actually landed at 1.32 trying to fix realbench stress test constantly finding instability, until I did some reading and found that it's very common and bugged, I've had no issues with any other testing. So I'm thinking I might be stable at a lower voltage.
  15. Yeah, I would have liked to have been able to do a second 240 or 280 rad but I very much ran out of space. I had to cram it in there pretty good as it is.
