  1. Avoid getting a 27" 1080p, the image would look pixelated on 27" 1080p screen due to lower pixel density. If you decide to go with 27", get at least a 1440p monitor. Here are my recommendations. Asus VG245H (the best option) Dell D2719HGF (a 27" option which I won't recommend as it's a 1080 panel, unless you strictly need a 27" screen) Acer XFA240 bmjdpr (A good gaming monitor that features G-Sync)
  2. There are plenty of options available for gaming monitors under $200. Usually, the monitors under $200 feature TN panels which are generally known for their speeds at an affordable price. However, for speed, you're trading off viewing angles here. It shouldn't be a concern if your primary requirement is gaming only. Here are my recommendations. Asus VG245H (the best option) Dell D2719HGF (a 27" option which I won't recommend as it's a 1080 panel, unless you strictly need a 27" screen) Acer XFA240 bmjdpr (A good gaming monitor that features G-Sync)
  3. In this situation, instead of getting a 4K I would rather get a color-rich 27" 1440p display that fits my requirements and budget. Don't get into 4K unless you need that much of sharpness. A 1440p IPS would be a decent choice.
  4. I would recommend Samsung C24FG73FQM for its colors and viewing angles. It features 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate which is more than enough if you're a casual gamer and as you said you will be watching movies alongside, the Samsung's VA panels are better than TN for it. So, overall, if we consider a monitor for mixed usage which is better at gaming and as well as for other tasks, Samsung C24FG73FQM is the best monitor.
