  1. Still happens, now what? I figured my logs would be more helpful
  2. It was doing this on stock also, I didn't do 4.5 until yesterday and this has been happening for over a week
  3. I didn't even think of it. Evga supernova g3 750w gold
  4. I recently did a fresh install of windows, after 7 years. Now my computer freezes, the entire system. I can close windows but pretty much anything else is unresponsive. I can't see any correlation between what I'm doing and when it happens. It's happened while it was idle, while I was typing, while I was watching a movie, and just a bunch over the past week. I've been sifting through the event viewer and I'm pretty good with computers but this stuff is beyond me. I'll try and post as much as I can. Specs are Evga Rtx2080Super with precision x1 OC curve, Ryzen 5 3600 OC'd to 4.5ghz, asus b550m tuf plus gaming, corsair vengeance lpx 32gb (2x16gb). 2 inland premium nvme for storage. nzxt kraken x62 cooler This happened to me around 1:14pm today so I found what I think might be the culprit, but I'll include my entire event log. Connectivity state in standby: Disconnected, Reason: NIC compliance Thanks for absolutely any help. I used to be able to leave my computer on for months and now I worry about idling overnight. all_logs.evtx
  5. I used to have the ryzen 2600x. I had it overclocked to 4.2ghz. I overclocked using the asrock bios on my asrock b450m pro4 motherboard. I decided I'd rather have it clock up and down so it isn't constantly running warmer. After setting the bios back to normal, resetting the bios, pulling the little battery, and even trying ryzen master, I couldn't get rid of the constant 4.2ghz. I couldn't get it to clock down. I was on the same windows install for 8 years. I just recently did a fresh windows install after a couple upgrades. I got the ryzen 3600, and a new motherboard (asus b550m tuf). I finish everything and I use nzxt cam to control fan speeds and leds. It shows a constant 4.2ghz. I panic and think this must be a bug in nzxt cam. Ryzen master in easy mode shows my clock speed and temperatures much lower. I decided to try the tried and true cpu-z and it also shows 4241.40mhz constant. I made sure my asus bios is set to pretty much auto everything. I even enabled precision boost. I don't have any idea what's going on. I've done about 15 custom computer builds and none have this issue. Could it be with my nzxt kraken liquid cooler? I usually use a cooler master aio for builds for other people. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks for absolutely any info.
  6. Have you done anything different recently that could've caused the issue? Is there maybe some kind of log that you could get for this kind of thing? In all honesty sometimes I'll wake up to find my computer restarted overnight and I could assume it was an update or something but usually updates will ask to restart beforehand or notify you after the fact
  7. So I tried replacing those 3 files on the sd card, no luck. Updated eeprom with this https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-eeprom/blob/master/releases.md and did all the outlined steps, the usb drive does the same thing. boot logo til it turns off and tries to boot again. after letting it go for about half an hour, it finally gets past the bootlogo and shows the first screen where i can click "next" and then it crashed. another time it gave me "system ui has force closed"
  8. Looks like nothing is working, I must've borked something going from the noobs installation of pi os to lineage. I can't get anything to boot.
  9. I'm going to try pi os on the sd card to make sure that works, and I'll try putting lineage on a 16gb flash drive I have
  10. The main one I use is a sandisk 32gb. Had no issue with pi os, and has no issue getting up to the bootlogo. My 2 spare cards are 128gb and give the exact same results.
  11. That's the exact video I followed. 5:14 instead of the bootlogo finishing and it booting into lineage, it turns off and starts the bootlogo again. The power cable included in the kit worked fine for 6 months with pi os, I sorta doubt that's the issue now.
  12. It's definitely formatted properly, I've tried all the different imaging programs. pi 4 B, this one specifically https://amzn.to/2TZQW11 it was previously running pi os without issue. i got the rom from https://konstakang.com/devices/rpi4/LineageOS16.0/ it seems like a majority of people haven't had issues with it. i've tried 3 different sd cards. the one ive been using since christmas, and 2 samsung 128gb cards. no luck. I have little-to-no experience with ubuntu and honestly I probably would've been better off just getting some junk android tablet then trying to get someone to hold my hand through learning ubuntu
  13. I got a raspberry pi 4 with the intention of running android on it so I could use it like a streamdeck with many added features. Using apps like deckboard, lioranboard, and even using the twitch app to give myself a viewer. I just wanted to stop using my phone all the time I stream on twitch. I'm very familiar with android and custom roms. I've used custom roms on my phone for over 10 years now. I absolutely cannot get lineage 16 to boot. I get the boot logo but it won't boot. Is there no better way to get android on a raspberry pi 4?? So many videos show that it's as easy as just flash the .img to an sd card and it just won't work for me and it doesn't seem like anyone else has the same issues I do. Does anyone have any ideas on other android installations or ways to get lineage 16 working?
  14. i got it from a friend who never had these issues. also the old card (rx580) ended up going into my moms mothers day computer
  15. has anyone ever seen or fixed this specific issue?
  16. I was really hoping not to, it would take a while to backup and restore all my girlfriends stuff. I gotta find chipset drivers, it could actually be that
  17. https://photos.app.goo.gl/wo3vqu6iykc85k7y8 i upgraded my girlfriends setup. from rx580 red devil, ryzen 5 1600, asrock b450m pro4 >> to gigabyte gtx 1660 super, ryzen 5 2600, gigabyte b450m ds3h wifi. im absolutely losing my mind. this happens mostly on fullscreen videos, but sometimes happens randomly on desktop. ive ddu'd a bunch of times and tried drivers right from gigabyte and also windows update, it seems like its the same driver. might i have to roll back? im not sure which version id have to load back to. ive found plenty of people with similar issues but not exactly this. any ideas? 18. I've gone 8 years without reinstalling windows. From the 1600 to the 2600 with no problems. From the gtx 1060 to the rx580 to the rtx 2060 to the rtx 2070 not a single issue with windows. I can get into safe mode with networking. I just said I don't want to do a clean windows install and your answer is to do a clean windows install. Am I missing something? Also, how come I can boot safe mode with networking with no issue???? I thought there was an issue booting windows from an nvme and I was about to install windows on a sata drive to test, but why would it still work in safe mode? There's something up and again plan A is to make the 3600 or 3600x work with this install of windows. Plan B would be to just keep the 2600 and forget the 3000 series altogether. A fresh windows install isn't something I want to try.
  19. I picked up a 3600 (non x) and a ton of paste. I'm having the same issues. Going back to the 2700 still works. I'm debating getting a new one of the same motherboard in case my older board (less than a year) could be the issue. I might just give up on the 3000 series. I'm not doing a clean install of windows for this.
  20. i dont know how but i got back into my precious windows with the 2600. for some reason the internal usb hub stopped working but it worked when i unplugged and replugged. also nzxt cam cant read the cpu temperatures anymore now one screen wont get picked up by windows and for some reason the windows time is off. im probably not trying to the 3600x again
  21. Disaster. I got thermal paste from a friend, so I swapped back to the 2600 and it's even worse. I can post but I can't get the spinny under the windows logo anymore. Sometimes itl just say asrock and the bios options go away. No restore options, even when I put in the windows installer drive, windows logo with no spinning. I think uninstall ING the nvme drive fucked my computer.
  22. Shit, still no luck. And of course I used my last bit of thermal paste so I can't even pop my 2600 back til tomorrow
  23. just right click uninstall? feels ballsy
  24. I can get in through safe mode, but it's hitting me would a sata driver still be an issue if my boot drive is nvme?
  25. I found this (first response) but can't figure out how to actually delete the inf
