  1. Thank you soooo much! And yeah I agree apples computers are way over priced but I’m a sucker for the eco system ? Although waiting until next year to see if I can get something better sounds good. We’ll see.
  2. I’m really looking for under $2,000 but taxes can be like $200 which is why I said $1,600 but yeah I get it that I won’t get good specs. I’m just looking for decent storage decent speed and decent color accuracy. I’ll keep looking but thank you so much for replying.
  3. I’m looking to purchase a refurbished MacBook Pro 13 inch preferably with touchbar but has to be 2016 or newer, and I’m having trouble finding a good one that meets my price range. Budget: $1,600 and lower please (nothing over $1,699). If you manage to find a good 15 inch model for a similar price (doubt it) i would be okay with that too. Also, color does not matter. heres what I’ve found so far. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/FPXX2LL/A/Refurbished-133-inch-MacBook-Pro-31GHz-dual-core-Intel-Core-i5-with-Retina-display-Silver?fnode=edbbe20908e15cc00284e348cb9acb3a1383365fc587cf550c4ba04036ac95b51a2ccadce3a618b5569f69986df20f04890925bce05e04842433004910aae2c4e9e9da26f5afb6589518b7e16265d48f 2.9 GHz boost up to 3.3 GHz Intel core i5, 16GB LPDDR3 Ram, 512 GB SSD and Intel Iris graphics 550 (couldn’t link) $1,689.00 https://www.apple.com/shop/product/FR9V2LL/A/Refurbished-133-inch-MacBook-Pro-23GHz-quad-core-Intel-Core-i5-with-Retina-display-Silver?fnode=da993c620f7d4beb1fb3dfa0ef37febae26d5f16afd5e12365dd914be13a07ac1fb096b3f651d62bd51b165db84f4907781353741dd8a84a84fc6c759bab786c733a471f5bd8b5e5fcdfbe63798ee041 If you have any alternatives, different websites are okay. If not please tell me which of these 3 is the best for me. I do a lot of art, video editing and I’d say light gaming like the sims and gta V. Thanks
  4. I really like the dell G7 and the tongfang laptops, my question only question for those is are the speakers ok? I know some manufacturers neglect the speakers.
  5. I'm not sure about the weight, maybe less than 6 pounds? I wanna be able to carry it in a backpack with maybe 2-3 books. Doesn't have to be paperweight but not too bulky if that makes any sense. Min battery life, maybe 4 hours?
  6. yes, I've heard great things about the XPS! And the external gpu idea is really good. Adding the XPS 15 to my list. yep I've been homing in on razer since the blade seems to fit my needs the most but I want to make sure I don't miss a better deal before I buy ah thanks for the recommendations! And the extra info as well. I was actually looking at the GS65 before and It honestly seems perfect. The only thing I'm iffy about with it is the speakers. I hear they're not that good but if it comes down to it I might just invest in some good headphones with the money leftover.
  7. My school has 2 rooms with iMacs, the rest of the labs have windows 7 with pentiums we recently got 6 trash macbooks (the small ones). The rest are chromebooks and win10 laptops.
  8. Hi! I'm looking for a computer for my senior year of highschool & college. My budget is $2,400 USD (willing to push it a hundred or two) (I'll bold & underline certain areas incase this is a bit much to read, I know I ramble a lot) Originally I was looking at the 15 inch Macbook Pro because of the color accuracy since I'm really into digital art (ngl, for the brand as well). But, I like to do some gaming (basic stuff like GTA) so obviously macs aren't great for that unless you max them out. I also use Photoshop & paint tool sai with a lot of layers (I don't know if that makes the difference of anything...). After realizing a good MBP was out of my price range, I turned to youtube and amazon and all I've found that I really liked was the 2060 ti Razer Blade 15 but I saw that similar laptops had better specs but had more flashy RGB and decals and stuff (which I don't really like because it draws a lot of attention for a school laptop). Also I'd prefer not to have weird keyboard placement, like on the Asus Zephyrus, but I'm willing to sacrifice if it comes down to it. What I'm really looking for is the most simple looking laptop I can find. RGB is okay but minimal RGB is preferred. I'm willing to sacrifice SOME specs for a slim & portable laptop. If possible, I'd like to get minimum 16 GB ram and 512 gb SSD (just because my artwork + games tend to take up a lot of space so I need a little something on board before I get an external or anything.) If anything is a bit too much to ask, please feel free to call me out. I joined this forum to learn as much as possible so constructive criticism is fine. If you have any further questions please do ask. And thanks in advance to anyone willing to help out. Edit: I'd also prefer one of the 20 model cards, I don't NEED 2080, 2060 or 2070 are fine. And, I'd really prefer 15 inch laptops, I've grown up using them so that's what I'm used to.
