  1. Pricewise im pretty sure it was simular, so i'll go for 3200 mhz then and leave it as it is.
  2. Maybe, i compared the RAM 3200 vs 3000 mhz. Pricewise its kinda simular but im curious wether or not it actually reaches the speeds it says. Ive read things about needing to change things manually to get to those speeds. As im not really looking to OC or whatever, shouldn't I just get 3000 Mhz, or does that have the same issue but to get to 3000.
  3. Haha good, thanks man ^_^
  4. Oh sweet, I'll check out those more later today. And make a decision on that one, also goes for the 1660 Ti vs 2060. Completely off topic, but thanks for the help. Question though, where would one need a 550 euro mobo for? Thats quite insane compared to like 180 euros
  5. Until this time around I have never actually looked at mobo's, are they that impactful?
  6. Haha fair enough, to me the i5 for 280 is a fairly good price. That being said, I started out looking for an i7, so compared to those I went to AMD which just blew my away price wise. But due to SC performance I came back to a fairly reasonable price of the i5. Probably going for that one then, as June/July I want to have upgraded my Rig already.
  7. Well I looked at S and A tier, but thats a bit outside of my price range. But how about the MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro 9https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1252491/msi-mpg-z390-gaming-pro-carbon/specificaties/) MSI MPG is B tier if not mistaken, has 2 M.2 Slots and in price range.
  8. Would probably end up going for the 9600k due to the good things I've heard about it, and look into a different MOBO to support it
  9. Yea the 2060 1440p thing was an example, good to know it is running fine. Obviously with the right expectations. I'm not quite sure about the ryzen, when do the new generations usually come out? Regarding the case, idk I justpicked one. Not looking for water cooling tbh. Not even looking at it. (the case)
  10. For the price/reviews/performance of the i5, that's definatly worth it for me. If i'd go for AMD, I would wait for the next generation, and probably go for the 2700x variant instead of the 2600x one mostly because of the additional benefits multicore has for graphical design. It's not needed, but feel like I might aswell go for the upgrade. The price difference between i5 and i7 is to big though.
  11. My guess is the MSI Z370 isn't highly rated on the list. I'll take a look.
  12. Oh right forgot to mention the CPU cooler, definatly getting that yeah. I was looking into ryzen CPU's but people keep telling me to get the i5 for the single core speed. For multicore, either 2700x or whatever they bring with the 3000 series is definatly better, not sure which one to go for between ryzen 2700x/3000 series and intel i5. Prices are fairly simular so that's not the issue between the options. Lastly I did watch the review of the 1660 ti, might have to look at that again. Thanks for the reply!
  13. What would be a better option? I'd like to have atleast 1 M.2. slot and ofcourse something that fits the new gen. CPU's.
  14. Hey, Currently looking to build a new PC. I have been upgrading parts for years but since the new generation cpu's requires a new mobo aswell I figured I'd just upgrade the whole rig to be able to sell my current system as a whole. Primarly going to be used for gaming on 1080p, and may look into 1440p gaming in the future (screens are still quite expensive as I want 2 of them). Wanted to check if there's nothing major i'm messing up, or if you guys may have any suggestions for better alternatives. I think it's worth if it's a bit more expensive, if the it's a great gain for what I want to do (2060 will never run 1440p? 2070 will, that would be worth the upgrade). Besides gaming it's used for design software such as AutoCAD/Revit, which currently runs smooth already so not to worried about that. Rendering isn't really happening alot, so mostly just drawing (no need for a better cpu/gpu purely for faster rendering) Games I play currently Tom Clancy's The Division 2, also running smooth but settings are quite low and backgroud programs cant be run. I can't run a youtube video on my 2nd monitor while playing division 2 for instance. I like to play games on a decently high fps 60-80 on 1080p but with 1440p in the future that might also mean 144 hz. I tend to play City Skylines aswell, which really had issues the bigger the city got mostly due to RAM/CPU for what I understand. I'd love to play on high/ultra graphic settings but if I do decide to get 2x 144 hz 1440p screen I wouldn't mind turning that down to get a decent framerate & value out of the new monitor. The budget I have about 1500 euro's purchasing the parts in the Netherlands, the parts I currently choose sum up to a total of about 1200 euro's. There's some room for upgrades, if that would be worth it for 'x' reason. Intel Core i5-9600K Boxed € 275,50 MSI Z390-A PRO € 124,90 MSI GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING Z 6G € 409,- Thermaltake View 27 € 55,95 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 € 111,01 Samsung 970 EVO 500GB € 119,99 With the total being around 1200 euros. May add a CPU active cooler, not looking to overclock but it can get really hot in my room and for the price I'd say that's worth it. On top of that currently I have a PSU of 550W, may look to buy a new one but looks like its enough for the setup. OS windows 10 will be on the 970, combined with the Samsung 860 EVO I currently use to install programs/games on. Do you guys see any problems, or have any input to improvements? I know 32 GB of RAM is (a little) overkill, however compared to the 16 GB I currently have running at 2300 Mhz that is something I won't have to change for a long while whilst getting good performance with designing software which benefits alot from RAM as far as I know. What I have most doubts about is the CPU and GPU, I looked into the Ryzen 7 2700x but since im going to use it mostly for gaming I have been told the SC speed of the i5 gives me more benefit. Besides that also the RTX 2060 seemingly isnt worth upgrading to from my current GTX 1060. I think 2070 is to expensive, and i don't really like buying a 2nd hand 1080 Titan used for bitmining or something.
