  1. Good afternoon everyone, I just upgraded my 6 year old pc, and reinstalled windows due to it now being amd vs before where it was intel. I have 2 other drives with various programs on them, how can i get windows to recognize the programs in the apps list without having to uninstall and reinstall every program? For example: Steam on D:/ -- does not show up in start menu or Add/remove programs list.
  2. using the mic jack in the back, no sound is being picked up period.
  3. the only reason she doesnt want to use the back ports is if she wants to use speakers for music and such like she did with her old laptop, she doesnt want to have to go unplug it from the back, using the front ports right now are just a convenience thing
  4. So i went over to a friends house this last week to celebrate her birthday, her mom bought her new pc parts so i helped her build it. I left today and as i came home i got on discord and as she came into discord with me all i heard was loud static sounds, just like when you tune into the wrong tv station. she uses the headphone and microphone ports in the front of the computer. and the headphones work fine. She told me the mic jack is really tight and that she needs a lot of force to insert and remove the 3.5 connector. the origin of the static has to be the mic jack, because the headset worked with the previous computer she had. Headset is the logitech g433 and the case is a corsair 275r
  5. Im assuming outside the warranty, shes had the laptop a very long time
  6. Yeah she never takes it off the cooler. We unplugged the cooler yesterday and inspected just the laptop and know exactly WHERE the rattle is coming from we just dont know the cause or how to fix it.
  7. Hey friends, im visiting a very close gaming friend of mine and her computer has started making a rather loud rattling noise, and im convinced that its coming from a fan from maybe the graphics card or something. The computer wasnt having high temps and wasnt under a very heavy load (only running wow and discord) she has the laptop on a thermaltake laptop cooler and has 1 external monitor, which is a recent upgrade, running from the hdmi port on the alienware 18. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
  8. still im sure i should still have way more space than 3 gigs free on my 120 gb ssd.
  9. My SSD has probably close to 50gb of free space. i went through the properties of all the files and added up the space and all my files take up ~50 gb. I wanna know what i can do to fix this.
  10. I tried my friends M65 and i found myself hitting the sniper button quite often on accident just from picking the mouse up didnt really like that D:
  11. Should I kinda just say screw it and buy finalmouse on a whim? And should i get the classic or the Tournament?
  12. Oh i forgot to mention that i play CS Competitively Sorry ahah so something like the MX Master wont work well. I need something wired and works flawlessly
  13. Hey guy, So rightnow I have one of the early versions of the Steelseries Rival, so all the grips are worn and the scroll wheel doesnt work well anymore. I like it a lot, but I need something new. I've tried the G502, DA, Zowie FK1, and Rival. I'm considering either DA Chroma, G303, or the Finalmouse. I have a large hand and able to palm a majority of the Rival no issue. I just need something comfortable and performs well.
  14. Hey everyone, I'm in the same boat as a lot of people, I NEED a new mouse. Currently Im on a Rival 300 but after a year and a half, the grips are completely worn, and the scroll wheel skips a beat here and there. I need a reliable mouse that is durable and will last me a good amount of time. Mice I've tried, G502 (Didn't care for shape), DA (Didn't fit my hand right with the protrusions on the top, Zowie FK1 (too flat), and the G303 (I liked it but the back was too round. Any opinions are open!
