  1. didn't really do anything unfortunately
  2. I have not actually, I'll check this in a minute
  3. So I've bought a new gpu recently and I've been having some issues with it. I switched from an rx580 to a 6700 XT and my fps significantly went down to pretty much unplayable in CPU-bound games or at least low load games e.g. Fortnite, CSGO, Dead by Daylight. The card tends to run at its minimum clock of 500MHz and using wattman does not give it a consistent minimum clock of whatever is put in. Other games run fine and just boost to 2400-2500 easily and consistently. I've noticed clockspeeds tend to ramp up in the menu when I up the graphics, only to plummet once I close the pause menu. Low settings however pretty much always give low clock speeds. I've done a DDU and a fresh windows reinstall, but this worked only while my pc was on for that day and then went back to normal. Drivers are updated to latest recommended version. I've seen a lot of people with what seems to be the same issue and hoping to find someone who knows a solution here. E.G And no I know 100% sure that my pc specs have nothing to do with this issue. If you haven't had any experience with this issue please don't bother posting the generic fixes here, I've seen them all, they don't work.
  4. The issue I'm having is that when I try to download anything from the microsoft store, it will have a quick pop up that crashes half a second later. This is not only in the Mstore, this also happens when I have to log into the xbox app, or for some account issues in windows itself. I have no clue on where to start or what might be causing it, this really is my only hope tbh. For further questions pls do ask down in the comments.
  5. I've been having an issue with my dual monitor setup for a while now. With my previous setup I had to plug in my primary monitor after bootup to make it receive a signal. However I recently changed my motherboard due to failing usb ports and it seemed to have fixed the issue. But a day after it started acting weird as well, I haven't found a pattern yet in which I can consistently get it to receive a signal. At first the first 2nd dp port worked fine, then I had to switch it to the 2nd dp port and the 3rd after that for it to work. I can be busy with connecting my monitor 5 min for each bootup easily and sometimes while my pc is on it just stops. It also likes to just turn on as a forced 2nd monitor (labeled wired display) with a lower brightness for some reason after which I have to reboot or switch ports like 6 times. I legitimately have no clue what causes this to happen and I can't find anyone else who has had this problem or a similar one to mine. PC: R5 2600 rx580 phantom gaming 16gb corsair vengeance rgb 3600MHz (xmp disabled however) b450 tomahawk max Monitor: t24B300 (minitv), samsung KG241Q , Acer If there are any further questions, feel free to ask them.
  6. This probably would've worked but I've already reinstalled windows haha. And it works again, thanks anyway.
  7. I just installed my new motherboard (B450 tomahawk max) after my old motherboard just gave up on its usb ports. My ports are fine now, but now my pc will just boot into windows only to constantly give me the error that the pc has not been started up correctly. Also my motherboard gives me the error code for cpu, gpu and bootdevice however it is able to detect them in the bios. I really have no idea what could've caused this and I'll take any help.
  8. Regarding the usb story, I did have a usb that had the plastic cover coming off, but i dont think that could fry the port tho. By draining the battery I meant the procedure you just mentioned so I've done that already
  9. I've tried getting into the bios, but my keyboard didn't work so I couldn't. Tried resetting my pc, leaving it off for a while, draining the battery. I've tried every usb port but they just don't work, the devices do work on another pc/laptop.
  10. While I was making homework today my usb-ports stopped working(back motherboard, internal & front io). I've tried basically everything I could find. My mouse its dpi switch still lights up for a split second when I plug it in but after that nothing really happens and it is not detected either. My keyboard is not even lit and doesn't operate either. My usb headset is also not being picked up and neither is my xbox controller. So basically none of my usb ports as far as I know work anymore out of nowhere. I don't remember oc'ing anything and or doing anything that could've possibly caused this. I'm afraid that my mobo just gave up and that I'll have to replace it. If you have any suggestions please leave them down below and thanks in advance!
  11. Normally I would agree, but not in this case. You couldn't know this but he wanted wifi on the board, 32 gigs is ideal so he wanted 32 gigs. He's pretty old fashioned so no glass sidepanel and I don't wish for him to have to go out and spend the full 2 grand on a pc so I wanted to keep the price down just a little.
  12. Oh wait, that was actually my plan all along but I forgot to change it in the list, thanks for letting me know
  13. haha doesn't matter, sometimes I get parts from Germany if they're cheaper there.
