I am working on planning my crystalline PC build and I am trying to make it as fast as I can (relatively speaking). In LTT's video of "The fastest gaming PC money can buy" I noticed they used both an Optane module and an NVme SSD. I am attempting a smaller scale setup of this, however, I read that too many drives could hurt system performance due to oversaturating the PCIe lanes. My setup for this build includes an NVme SSD, an Optane memory module, 1 HDD and 1 Graphics card. I am planning this on a Z390 motherboard, which if I recall puts the PCIe lane count at 40. However, I don't know if I can include both an Optane + HDD and an NVme SSD without over-saturating the PCIe lanes.
So, despite my searching, I still couldn't find a straightforward answer.
P.S. I apologize if this lacks certain tags or proper format, I rarely use forums.
