  1. Just because YOU haven't heard about a brand doesn't make the model bad. It's a Phison E12 drive, the same as Corsair MP510, Inland Premium, Silicon Power A80, and many others. E12 drives mainly compete with the 970 evo/plus series, with similar(-ish?) performance for significantly cheaper. Seriously, if you don't know, then you could just not comment or at the very least ask. But then you had to spread misinformation in this thread, possibly inducing OP into making a worse choice!
  2. That system draw like 350W-400W max in gaming, only a 9900k+2080ti would ponetially require 650W... at which point i would not use the MWE gold
  3. On the current one, tier A. Keep in mind that the current one is also bad. Luke and some other people are making a new revision which should be much better, the GM is similar to GQ or G1+ i believe so either the same tier as Corsair CX or a tier below.
  4. I like herman mcpootis build better. Maybe except for the storage
  5. Way overkill for a chip that draw like 80W max in overclocking gaming... both the stock cooler and the DRP4 have thermal paste Only good option for b450 are MSI. B450-a pro, b450 gaming plus, b450 taomahwk is what you want. Refer to Aegis's tier list. https://imgur.com/a/sYmbnMr phison E12 ssd like sabrent rocket, corsair mp510 etc are supposed to be in tier 2.. rx 5700 This PSU not great, it's worse than TXm in build quality according to Jonnyguru.. there is a bitfenix formula gold 550 for $70 on newegg, or a CX550 for $60. And there was a thermaltake GX1 (simliar quality to CX im guessing, not same plattform) for $45 600W few days earlier, as well as enermax platimax 500W for $50... Cmon, its almost 2020... and we are still recommending $260 TN 144hz 1080p panels when same resolution and refresh rate, better color accuracy and reproduction quality VA panels can be found for $170 (MSI Mag240VC optix)
  6. TXm is way better than mwe gold. Considering that even the CX slightly edges out the mwe gold in build quality.
  7. cheaper than mx500,infact, and does better htan mx500 on all consumer important benches...
  8. FYI, Pcpartpicker netherlands and De suck, use tweakers pricewatch and geizhals.de respectively for price instead And 660p>mx500 ?
  9. You only disagree because of your own personal experience, when recommendations on this forum are supposed to be as objective as possible...
  10. Even Seasonic's own S12III is better than the garbage called m12ii.Although I really would not recommend the S12III... IMO the lowest cost but still viable option for budget build is the CX450 at $56. Maybe for OP's case, S12III could be ok, but OP should just know that S12III has coil whine issues on 450w/500w unit, cheaped out on a lot of components, miss protections. But at least it's dual mag amp, not as good as dc-dc but not as horrible as Group regulation either...
  11. Honestly I would take the BT over the S12II/M12ii/evo. They are both loud as F, crap double forward and group regulated PSU with lousy voltage reg on crossload. But at least the BT has UVP and OPP...
  12. rx 480 usually around the same price Corsair cx450
  13. ignore that. my point was, the sabrent rocket is the same ssd as that patriot and cost $20 cheaper. And sorting by cache is terrible on pcpartpicker, because pcpartpicker is wrong on the cache more often than not.
  14. For the price, following this advice you're more likely to go wrong tan right. Yay, another Phison E12 drive and... $80 for a 512gb?!?!?!? When the Sabrent Rocket is $60 for the same capacity?!?!?
  15. And as for OP I would get the Bitfenix Formula Gold 550 on Newegg for $70.
  16. Efficiency is one of, but not the only indicator of build quality.
  17. According to The_Mask the MWE Gold is a little worse build quality than the CX. However none of us knew that before making the current tier list (maybe Stefan, idk :D). It will most likely be in tier B+, same as CX in the upcoming revision. Also, yes the platforms should be the same, and the OEM is XHY. I don't know anything about XHY so don't ask me
  18. Yes, you have to screw it in an m.2 slot on the motherboard. Shit ones will use 2, otherwise most will use 4. Second question: no, NVMe PCIe lanes are completely separate from the GPU.

  20. He thinks that 660p>MX500. He also thinks that SX6000 Pro>660p. You can follow the logic from there.
